75 Years of Burton Albion FC 💛🖤

@EssoBAFC I’d be surprised if we could keep him. Assume that some top championship clubs and category 1 academies will be keeping close tabs

Two very good sides cancelling each other out there.

Thought Sibbick was outstanding, and the professional foul cemented a MOTM performance.

Kegs and Krubally compliment each other so well - they start every week for me.

FT. 0-0. A really good battle from Albion. A well-earned point, which could have been more.

@GabSutton @EFL A proper battle between two good sides.

Bradford are well organised, but not quite as sharp as Huddersfield and Oxford were.

As for Burton, we look like a proper team this year. Another clean sheet is massive for us mentally. Sibbick outstanding, and Addai was fantastic again.

@EssoBAFC I think the only reason Krubally didn’t stand out for me is because that’s the sort of performance I’ve come to expect from him. Genuinely think he’s amongst the best midfielders in the league, so the standard for him to get MOTM is even higher.

@TomElliottBAFC @BubbleNeal @AFCRD @burtonalbionfc And that was to arguably the best team in the league 🤣

Just me who had absolutely no idea the FA Cup draw was happening today? 🤣

[Burton Albion FC @burtonalbionfc]

We have been drawn at home to AFC Rushden & Diamonds in the First Round of the @EmiratesFACup

Ties to be played across the weekend of 7/8 November.

Can we just all agree to forget about VAR when a goal is this good please? 😅

@_jamesgolding Yeah I’ve never been a fan of managers saying that sort of stuff tbf - it gives the players an excuse to perform poorly. Just say we didn’t defend well and look at how to improve. Also doesn’t really make much sense today when our changes had arguably a bigger impact on the game.

@burtonalbionfc Addai has kept us in that today. Outstanding display from the big man, let down by sloppy defending. Far too easy for the opposition to create chances down the flanks when we don’t have proper fullbacks.

A head-scratching result and performance. The subs were excellent.

@bafcjames2 I’m not sold on Webster that high up. I prefer him to drop deeper and dictate the game so he can unlock the players ahead of him, whereas he has to pass it sideways and backwards if he plays too far forward

Rapha+Lofty is too attacking; would need Sibbick for 1 on 1 defending

Very happy for Tom Hounsell

Showed promise during his interim spell at Burton by steadying the ship a little, but felt he wasn’t quite ready to push on

Gone into Wycombe as interim and shown immediate signs of his coaching ability and potential

Wish him all the best 👏

It's Tom's time to lead the team 🤝

We're thrilled to confirm the appointment of Tom Hounsell as the new Head Coach of the First-Team.

The athleticism, range of passing, and hunger to get on the ball. Elliot Anderson reminds me so much of Steven Gerrard.

Just needs to score a few more long-shots and attack the box for more people to draw that comparison. Saw at his Bristol Rovers loan that he’s capable too.

@jentas_way61134 @davidwt1997 @GabSutton @EFL Tbf we’ve mixed controlled possession and direct play really well most games - just had two occasions where the balance has been off

We lost to Notts because we didn’t play enough, and lost to Huddersfield because we played too much

Every other game has had a good balance to it
