GSC is great but working across multiple sites is frustrating.
Building @seogets to solve this for myself - one dashboard for all sites, smart content tracking, no more endless exports, and so much more.
It's made my daily SEO work so much smoother.
$29/mo (or free for smaller sites).
Worth checking out if you use GSC regularly.
I appreciate Ian's willingness to share. But this line of thinking is very damaging imo.
The piece that is vital is the 97% bounce rate and 14 sec duration. It's all TOF and will not move the needle at all.
So why do it? Clicks don't matter without intent.
I'll start with the proof of quality because I'm sure you're skeptical of my "high quality" claim.
"Quality" is highly subjective, so the only objective way to prove it is by looking at data. In the case of an article, rankings + traffic is the best data available for proof of quality.
(I'm not arguing that poor rankings = low-quality article, I'm simply arguing that high rankings = high-quality article in the eyes of a search engine. There are caveats of course, but in general this is the best way to prove quality.)
My articles are high quality because I've already published hundreds using the exact same system, and my rankings + traffic are consistently improving.
This traffic is also spread across my articles quite evenly, with the top article accounting for less than 4% of traffic.
(regarding the high bounce rate and low views per visit and visit duration, my articles give the answer right away so there's no need for users to stick around).
@MarkoSaric Sweet, keep up the solid work, and we will continue to be a paid subscriber. π€ Let me know if you ever want to connect and talk PLG analytics SaaS (we have quite a bit in common). haha
@Shpigford@seogets MCP allows you to set up prioritized content groups &W topic clusters using your GSC data so LLMs have better context when you ask that question.
With the content change tracking coming soon, which will provide even better context to the MCP, you'll love it.
@ViperChill You're the man, always appreciate you sharing.
Extrapolating (which is just that), if ChatGPT was ~10% in 2025 and it seems stable from then - with Claude catching up, I'm wondering if the % loss is coming from google or youtube even if net growth is higher (my guess is google)
@ecomtryggvi Man, so much easier to track those collection pages with content groups. ;) haha
Also, you gotta show me your SEO tool sometime, love seeing what you're building.
@adriaandotcom In theory, what would be too much tax that you would not be willing to pay?
(Honest question) If they asked for 100%, would you still pay the tax?
