Last week, Ambassador Jamieson Greer traveled to Jeju, Korea, for the @APEC Ministers Responsible for Trade meeting.
We appreciate Korea's warm hospitality and @MOTIEKoreaEng Trade Minister Cheong's capable leadership of the APEC meetings in Jeju.
While there, Ambassador Greer met with trading partners from across the Asia-Pacific, underscoring that the United States values cooperation in APEC to promote prosperity for the American people and the people of the region, and the role of APEC in restoring reciprocity and fairness in our trading relationships.
For 30 years, APEC has brought together government and business leaders across the Asia-Pacific. Today, I thanked those leaders and called on them to stay engaged. By partnering together, we can build more inclusive economies with greater opportunity for all our people.
