@alexjhurley As soon as I saw it I said - no way is that a penalty. I guess overall we were the better side but a 0-0 draw would have been a totally fair result. I have tickets for Blackpool. 😀
@thegoalzone It was the perfect antidote to the entertaining 9 goal thriller between spurs and Liverpool on sky the night before! But good teams win when they play badly - so up the blues!
@Cubadsmith@_callumfowler Yep. It pains me to say it - but they took an impressive following to the pre season at blues this year and sang non stop.
And did an amusing flare display at half time
@alexjhurley@AndrewmitchMP They’ve done a good job with it. I agree. I can always be persuaded by building on green belt if they make a real effort to make it a nice place for people. Eg a nice park and a path with trees and water features etc. Amazon development gets an 8/10 for that 👍
@alexjhurley@AndrewmitchMP The Tory party are often the masters of nimbyism but I’m in agreement with them on this one. The countryside around Sutton are just disappearing so fast. M42, toll road, peddimore, Langley - all developments that have totally decimated the green belt. Let’s keep what we have.
@alexjhurley Carl Richards was the worst player ever. I think he scored two goals for blues in two seasons (?) -and he was a CF . I’m sure one of the goals the keeper kicked the ball out. It hit Carl on the backside and rebounded into the net.
@Cormsbadger@NoContextBrits It’s a wiggly line.
But Birmingham would be in the south and of course you would have the exceptions of south wales, Kent etc but culturally - a mining community is ‘northern’
@Cormsbadger@NoContextBrits I reckon I’ve got a reasonable’rule of thumb’ for north/south divide. Draw a line where coal mining starts. So I guess C is closest. Mining communities IMO epitomise ‘the north’
@alexjhurley@patricklohlein@ByDonkeys I think she gets paid for these appearances and this is probably because she sells herself as ‘former PM of UK’ - so she can’t have it both ways.
