@FinkelsteinRyan@LockedOnMets Been listening almost daily while driving for the past year now. Nice listening to other Mets fans who actually have unbiased conversations and reasonable thoughts after emotions. Great pod #mets
"It's tough for me to see these guys go.
But when I look at it big picture - David Stearns has won, he's a proven winner. Give him a chance and let's see how this plan plays out."
David Wright gives his thoughts on the Mets moving on from their longest tenured players and the fan reaction that followed, plus his feeling that patience was required to let the overall picture become clear
@TalkinMetsNoG I believe the yanks couldn’t beat the marlins also, think it may have been a sweep. If they did then they could have played Toronto at home and maybe beat em
@BrewPack8 I think you’ll like him and sproat, I followed them in Syracuse a good amount since it’s close to where I live. Kids can play and could be huge hits
He’s a 27 year old major league who had ability to play SS at the highest level. I’ll roll the dice he’ll fine lol couldn’t agree with this take more #lgm keep adding weapons
The only thing I would worry about when moving a SS to 3B is whether he can hit enough (not an issue with Bo).
It's a simple defensive transition down the spectrum, and an easier position in almost every way (including throwing). Less range needed, fewer responsibilities, just get that reaction time ready!
Are there examples of a SS to 3B transition failing because of defense? I can't think of any...
Don’t trade any of the kids. Ive never been this excited about an entire group coming up. Sign Tucker if you can. Go hard after skubal if still a FA next year. Other then that leave the young Mets here and roll with them #LGM
Unless it’s skubal with an extension then I wanna see this farm perform and let the kids all play. If 1/2 pan out to be solid or better then, you have so much control over a good group of guys
Mets fans, would you have done this trade 🤔⁉️
Mets receive:
SP Edward Cabrera
Marlins receive:
3B Brett Baty
UTL A.J. Ewing(#7 prospect)
It was reported by @ragazzoreport that this is what the Marlins were looking for from the Mets.
