An update from the Professional Hockey Players’ Association.
The PHPA would like to express its gratitude for the continued support shown by fans, the broader hockey community, our brothers and sisters in sport, active and retired players, and communities in and out of the labor movement across North America.

We are trying. We asked to resume talks. We offered mediation or arbitration to avoid missing games. Rejected within minutes. We want to play. We want a fair deal. We remain united and ready, but respect and good faith have to go both ways. Thanks to everyone for the support.
All 15 million members of America’s unions stand in solidarity with @ThePHPA players in their fight for a fair contract that gives them the pay, dignity, respect and safety on the job they deserve.
The players remain united and committed to finding common ground. However, we won’t accept continued disrespect from the league. Respect must be mutual, and right now, that standard isn’t being met. Thank you to our incredible fans for their continued support 💪🏼 🏒
The AHL and the PHPA -- which represents minor-league players -- closing in on new CBA. Must be ratified by both parties (expected to be a formality). Five-year deal, retroactive to the start of this season.
ECHL players are meeting virtually to discuss possibility of a strike, as, unfortunately, there's little progress in negotiations between them and the league.
Schedule is on Christmas break until Boxing Day. Hopefully, things get sorted out, but talks haven't been pretty.
The PHPA is proud to announce the forming of a strategic alliance with the @NHLPA
