@McFaul The US citizens think Canada took advantage of the US when the USMCA free trade deal has benefited the US the most. Compagnies and US labor groups are putting pressure on Trump to keep these illegals tariffs in place. Canada will derisk, decouple and move on. We will remember.

@RHFontaine Your statements are ridiculous. There is actually a free trade deal. It’s called USMCA. US is not respecting it. Sectoral tariffs are covered by side letters in the USMCA and thus, tariffs on auto, steel, etc are illegals. As for China, the US trade more with it than Canada !!!

@CochraneChris @ianbremmer You are miss informed. There are side letters to USMCA covering auto industry, steel, aluminium, etc. So the sectoral tariffs on Canada and Mexico are illegals according to the trade USMCA agreement. You should read a bit before posting.

We all should. One of the best things I've done in the last couple years is sell all my US equities (portfolio is roughly 1/3 Canadian, 2/3 international excl. US). Last 12 months I've outperformed the S&P (26% vs. 21%), while avoiding supporting the southern clown show.
