@JessicaPage7 Thank you for sharing Micheala’s rare disease journey. It is only through research, like that done by the wonderful people at @telethonkids, that we will find cures and new treatments.
Descending into self-parody, a Nedlands councillor has led the City’s opposition to WA’s first children’s hospice by implying the facility for dying kids could be bombed by a hostile foreign power. Yarn by @jakehgd https://t.co/hA1EQGtB1i
@PeterJohnLaw This is appalling from some of these Councillors. Surely they can put their NIMBY attitude aside and help deliver a world class facility for terminally ill kids and their families. Seriously who begrudges those that support terminally ill kids and families fantastic views!
Recently #WAParliament launched the Parliamentary Friends of People with Rare and Undiagnosed Diseases
Formed by @DonnaFaragher #MattSwinbournMLC & #StephenPrattMLC with the dual purpose of raising awareness of #rarediseases as well as promoting meaningful and effective action
First, the good news: after conducting a record number of tests, zero local cases of COVID-19 have been detected in WA.
Western Australians absolutely smashed the record for daily COVID-19 tests - with 16,490 tests conducted across all locations.
#WHSBill passes in the WA Parliament incorporating #industrialmanslaughter laws. Meaning was just given back to a life that was treated as if it were meaningless.
I hope you are proud of me Wes 😇
I stood up for you kiddo.
@ReganBallantine@ReganBallantine how could he not be proud of you?! Your advocacy for these laws have been so critical to their successful passage. I have only the utmost respect for you and your ability to drive home the real cost of unsafe workplaces.
