Seems pretty important on Matt Ryan’s perspective on what’s best for a young QB.
I expect Atlanta to focus on an offensive-minded head coach to help guide and develop Michael Penix.
We are in the middle of the Coaching Revolution in the NFL
It must be weird to be an Old Head kinda coach like Pete Carroll, Mike Tomlin or Aaron Glenn and not even REALIZE what is happening
If you aren’t from the Mike Shanahan, Kyle Shanahan, Sean McVay adjacent Coaching Tree then you are basically fucked
Carroll, Tomlin and Glenn have been doing rah-rah shit their entire careers, and it’s worked to some extent
But all that empty talk is gone now
The entire NFL revolves around cutting edge TACTICAL advantages now
There was a time when coaching was about motivating players and talking the talk, now it is about knowing what the opposition is gonna run and being 2 or 3 steps ahead
If you hire a pure Motivator nowadays, your ceiling is low, your team isn’t gonna go anywhere
This is not a home run… This is a grand slam!!! Good work @MattOLearyNY calling this shit out. This is why we say this whole culture building nonsense is outrageous. Get these the fck outta here. #Jetup
I’d be lying if I said I was happy my brothers are gone because I’m not, I’m sick. But, I believe strongly in the organization, staff and my other brothers in the locker room. I said when I got drafted I wanted to be the reason or part of the reason this thing gets changed for the better and that’s going to continue to be my outlook. I love this team and this fan base and y’all will continue to get my all, my absolute best on and off the field. Let’s look onward and upward because better things are coming and I give my word on that. Go Jets always💚
Since July 2023, the Commanders have:
- Been bought by Josh Harris
- Hired a new GM
- Hired a new head coach
- Drafted its franchise quarterback
- Won 12 games for the first time in 33 years
- Won its first playoff game in 19 years
A purely unthinkable turnaround in 19 months.
That ball is late and sailed.
We are mismanaging pockets, sailing footballs, and stalling drives in a win or go home with a five-star on the bench.
Time to make a call.
Woody Johnson took one question from the media last night and gave an interview to the NY Post.
The Jets will not be making him available otherwise, instead leaving Jeff Ulbrich, who will likely not be part of the team’s future, to answer questions about the state of things.
Lions OC Ben Johnson does not have interest in the Jets' head coaching job and has "made that known," reports @Connor_J_Hughes
The Jets are not expected to put in a formal request to interview Johnson
