And any teacher who lets this happen needs to take a good look in the mirror and ask why they became a teacher in the first place. It stinks that jobs might be on the line. But so be it. Do the right thing and shut the door.

Educators are not our students' parents. We are accountable to THEIR parents for how we teach and care for THEIR children.

And the further away we can get from Randi and her union bosses having any influence over THEIR children, the better.

@FloridaGators with the overall 4 seed is nonsense. Handedly winning the SEC, the best conference top to bottom we've seen possibly ever, beating Auburn (overall 1 seed) in reg season play, 30-4 record, and they get the 4 seed? Ridiculous.

Parents are the primary driver of a child learning to read, not public school teachers. Kids should be exposed to letters and words and books long before they ever step foot in a school. I fear that the tragic reading level in so many k-12 children can be traced back to a home where reading wasn't prioritized at an early age. Teachers are playing catch up, albeit some better than others, and it's not fair to the kids who are getting left behind by their peers.
