@JamieCollyer So you hold bitcoin hostage, force a change based solely on a social preference and you do so based on threats of social abandonment (you are a pedophile if you dont). What will you do when the next group calls you a pedophile? You will change bitcoin again. Slippery slope.
@NoemiSolo_@DonalDevine There are a couple bad actors in bitcoin who split up transaction data to store info for their particular business. Core was hoping that they could entice those bad actors to put that info into op-return which would be better for everyone.
This bears repeating: Once, two brilliant guys who live on an island in vote-by-mail Washington surveyed neighbors to check accuracy of "ballot tracking" & found every permutation of wrong info.
- ballots said to be received which voter never sent in
- ballots said NOT received which voter DID send in
- ballots said to be sent out to voter but never arrived
- ballot said to be counted but was not counted
- ballot said to be rejected but was counted.
Small communities are a gold mine for proving failure in election accountability.
@chunshengzhang3@cguida6 Purity and cleanliness are in the eye of the beholder. Now that you have a group that has made a line in the sand that can be moved your group will be subverted with financial incentives and threats of being branded a new kind of non-pure to move the line further.
