They have realized this in study after study in the science of teaching and learning and institutions of higher learning, for all their other faults, have been acknowledging and responding to it for decades, but somehow the church isn't catching on.
Of all the learning methods, lecture is the least effective (5% retention) of them all. If this is the case why do we still do so much of it in the church?
