@VeloPaul1888@Bravoos91140913@DaleVince@andyburnham People are all emotional but it doesn't change anything the only people happy are the ones affiliated with Labour and current economic circumstances. Triple lock is savings go straight out in foreign aid anyway for and airport. Governing costs will rise tax will go up. Emotions🙄
Andrew Neil just delivered a BRUTAL reality check to Andy Burnham after that highly praised conference speech.
The praise has been wildly over the top. Some commentators parked their critical thinking because it suited their biases. Thankfully, as usual, Andrew Neil is not one of them.
On the latest @TheNeilReport, he pointed out what Burnham left out of all those lavish plans. The glaring omission: tax rises are coming.
As Neil put it: “It’s quite the socialist manifesto.”
Higher taxes are inevitable.
“In place of markets, privatisation, competition, Mr Burnham wants more state ownership, more state control, much bigger government and higher taxes. Of course he didn’t say higher taxes. Well, he wouldn’t, would he? But if you’re going to have bigger government and more state control and ownership, then there will have to be higher taxes. One follows the other.”
Prepare yourselves. He’s coming for your money to fund his socialist utopia.
Neil also noted that all the big-ticket items were for later. Next parliament. Next manifesto. Almost nothing for the here and now.
Nothing serious on defence or foreign policy. “He glossed over. Barely gave it the time of day.”
Nothing on the imminent “tough” winter or the fuel crisis.
Rising inflation. Rising interest rates. Rising youth unemployment. Rising costs of government borrowing. Nothing.
He finished with this warning: “Mr Burnham deserves his day in the sun. He should enjoy it, because it’s all about to get much darker, much more difficult. Reality is about to strike this winter. His 10-year plan is likely to be unravelling before spring has sprung.”
Puts a slightly different spin on things, doesn’t it 😂
‘I will never apologise for being Labour, we are the party of working people…we are standing on the shoulders of giants!’
Says Angela Rayner 😂🤣
What a load of absolute BULLSHIT!!
She’s as much on the side of the working class as Stalin was.
Their egos know no bounds! 🤭
Andy Burnham was confronted live on radio by a former serviceman over plans to house more than 1,200 young migrant men at the barracks near Piddington.
Steve, from Upper Arncott, said local children are now worried about walking to the park, and women and girls are afraid to go out. "Why are you allowing 1,200 single males to wander around, unsupervised and not monitored?" he asked.
Burnham said he was asking the Home Office questions, but admitted: "I wouldn't want to give you the impression today that it can simply be cancelled because we're not in that position."
The Prime Minister promised nothing and admitted he can do nothing. This is not only happening in 1 Oxfordshire village. Communities across the country are being forced to accept the same thing.
£41 billion on PIP
£8.8 billion on foreign aid
£8 billion+ on illegal migration
Over a trillion in unfounded public sector gold plated pensions.
Yet the government is chasing a £600 million saving on the triple lock?
On @GBNEWS Breakfast
@BrianTaylor5580@I_amMukhtar Basing off your interaction with another human who you clearly have no gauge on as you assume im a member of the patriot platform. Whose a mug?
@BotFinderUK The right candidates are offering methods of saving money to pay debt and offer a better standard of living to current british nationals whilst securing our investment against foreign threat
Andy Burnham’s speech today has been praised by some Labour MPs as one of the greatest speeches they’ve ever seen. Some people in the hall were even crying.
I found it very underwhelming.
At one point he paused waiting for applause that almost never came. That must have been the longest 10 seconds of his life waiting for the pre planned applause to finally kick in.
Then compare the atmosphere with Nigel Farage’s speech at the Reform conference.
Nigel Farage had the room hanging on his words, reacting throughout and responding to his delivery. It was a completely different kind of conference performance and showed just how much audience engagement can shape a political speech.
Love this lady unmuzzledvoice 👏👍I’m not sure if she’s on X but her videos are so on point and directly expose the hypocrisy of this Two Tier Labour Government.
Take a look as she dismantles Shabana Mahmood and exposes her Two Tier Prejudice yet again this time about Intimidating Muslims wearing masks, but of cause Mahmood doesn’t bring that up.
@Zero_4 Farages angle there is filling the massive hole we have so we can live better... why not think logically rather than running on hate or what youre told
