@john_macgowan Proves how unserious ON is with the VIC election in comparison. They’ve got a decent candidate as state leader for NSW yet Victoria is a clown show.
@Mark_Graph Implied inflation for 2027 has dropped considerably over the last couple of months although it rose in the week to Wednesday 19th Aug. longer term implied inflation hasn’t moved back up yet. Next data for this series is out on Monday covering up to Wed 26th.
@RoCheck@AshPolitik@DHughesy Complete bollocks. The current system doesn’t benefit short term traders as they get no discount because held less than 12 months and no Indexation. Short term traders are better off under the new system with indexation.
@kevinbonham Wellness woo types. It was something to behold during Covid to see erstwhile Greens supporting wellness types turn into far right supporters.
@MrHawkeFan As the Americans would say, it’s a Hail Mary pass. After 12 years in gov and on death’s door they throw this out to the voters. If they spent some time building up the policy would be better, just looks desperate.
@FinancialReview “after green groups warned the government’s proposed capital gains tax rules would stifle investment and stall the renewables rollout”
So higher cgt stifles investment
Who knew 🤷♂️
@asxpeasant If you were getting 6% you weren’t in an all shares investment, but something less volatile and more conservative, so not valid to compare to a share ETF. How did your super fund’s all-share option perform if you want to compare to a share ETF.
@SkullSpeedDeal You can’t believe the number of people who are happier on the full pension rather than a higher income from self funded super. Gimme free shit mentality.
@disco___cat Goes to show the limits of toll roads. There only so many you can have before the public gets jack of them and demand gov come up with a populist answer. At what point would it be cheaper for the gov to buy the concession out?
