Just like I said
I do really like their approach on pursuing more efficient model
Because Fable 5 is already enough for 90%+ devs (and IS enough for all other needs [except law and health ig])
OpenAI had a major advantage in being able to say that GPT-5.6 Sol delivered exceptional performance at a much lower cost than Fable 5.
But now Anthropic has pulled off the same move. It built a model that outperforms GPT-5.6 Sol in almost every area while being far more efficient than both Sol and Fable.
Opus 5 was a brilliant strategic move, and the model itself is incredible. Now we just have to wait and see whether it also comes loaded with unnecessary safeguards. That would be the one major downside.
ChatGPT is already good for me.
If you want to improve it, I guess better research, better context on the web-search, better sources is the way, but that's not number one priority
The number one priority is the codex limits that still should be enough FOR DEVELOPERS in their $20 and $100.
I mean it was, for the 5.5 even on xhigh
@OmedVibeCodes I can see that GPT 5.6 sol still lacks in Frontend, but it really excels in Backend and database structure.
I mean does Claude (Opus, maybe the latest opus) excels in Backend as well?
I mean can we trust it to manage prod BE as well?
