@CCosades1681@gallott1985 It's his fault because he kicked Spence in the leg? If Spence gets in front of an attacker before the defender comes in late - in literally any other scenario - it's a foul.
@evertonisam@BowkerStu That's nonsense. If the defender doesn't expect Spence to try and defend the ball and barrels into him, that's Spence's fault how exactly? Should Spence just let him win the ball?
Honestly a lot of pearl clutching in Europe re Paraguay. Yes, they play rough, taunt you and foul you. You can deal with it. It’s not new. Paraguayans are not demons descending on poor innocent European gents. It’s not like Pepe, Robben, Keane, Gattuso, Ramos, Khan don’t exist
@AllyFogg Correct. Football has literally always been played like this by some teams - especially in the world cup - and is a completely legitimate way of going about things when you are by far the underdogs. It's almost as though people are forgetting that they've seen it before
@terrybythebay@PedroLanca@TVietor08 There is only one way to be offside. Are you behind the last defender at the point a ball is touched or played to you. If yes, offside. If no, play on. That's the rule. So whilst it's heartbreaking for Croatia I'm really not sure what you mean
@AmosMurphy_ Exactly. And the World Cup is about more than the football. For me there's almost nothing better in the sport than seeing fans of an underdog celebrating a win or becoming overcome with emotion. All the more poignant when it's a nation.
If you ever doubt how magical this world is, one day you will decide to go to a World Cup watch party in Oakland that you found online to root for a country where you spent two years trying to coax English out of the mouths of Cape Verdean teenagers. 1/7
If you vote for the Green Party, you genuinely hate the United Kingdom and its historic population. There is nothing else I can say. There are no excuses. Polanski is crystal clear on what he stands for. So, if you vote Green, I am going to come down on you like a ton of bricks. You are an enemy of this country, plain and simple.
