More than a rails-to-trails transportation project, Atlanta’s Beltline is a transformational vision that will connect 45 neighborhoods with 53 km. of multi-use paths, 35 km. of light rail, 1,300 acres of green space, 5,600 units of affordable housing, and 450 works of public art.
First photo - Stars of David started appearing on homes of Jews in Berlin - Anna Staroselskaya, president of German Union of Jewish Students (JSUD).
The Star of David is a symbol that Jews were forced to wear during Holocaust so they could be easily distinguished from the rest of the population, isolated and punished.
Second photo - a woman drew the Star of David on a Jewish restaurant in Moscow.
@EatSleepCycle I’m in/mainly out of FB, what surprised me most in the cycle touring groups is the sheer number of people flying around the world to complete their bicycle tours, no different I guess to ‘package holidays’ but still came as a surprise.
People ask, so I want to say something about flying & bike tours. In short, I won't do it. Partly because I love incorporating ferry & train travel into my trips, but mainly because I can't justify to myself taking an aeroplane during a climate emergency, merely to ride my bike.
Sussex has seen a rising number of hate crimes against trans people.
Disturbing evidence of the consequences of the government’s disgraceful weaponisation of this issue.
As MP for Brighton Pavilion I would always defend and champion trans people.🏳️⚧️💚

"Saturday morning I woke up at 5am to find out there are a lot of bombs, people are dead. I'm like really in fear. Every time I have the thought of me dying in a bomb in Gaza. Everywhere I go, I run away, I just find bombs and dead people. And maybe one day I'll end up like them. It's a really scary thing for me."

Happy Saturday from the Cowes to Newport bike path - also known as NCN 23 🚲
What a brilliant piece of cycling infrastructure. Counted over 50 bikes in the 40 mins we spent on this route - including handcycles, trikes and lots of kids 🤩
Build it and they will come! @iwight
This is so shortsighted, more roads = more traffic, increased emissions, more nature destruction, more climate breakdown, more extreme weather, floods, fire, famine. Invest in public/active transport instead. @StopWensumLink#NoNewRoads#ClimateCrisis

Even under Sunak’s free market utopia (!) I can’t see any scenario in which curtailing of any part of HS2 works out well for road transport, whether that’s the private car or HGVs - let alone passengers along the West Coast Main Line. Reduced rail capacity = impossible roads.
The University of Manchester was one of the first places in the UK to provide an accessible parking bay for disabled cyclists.
Would love to see more accessible cycle parking rolled out as part of the #BeeNetwork.

🔴BREAKING:
Israel has given Al Awda Hospital just two hours to evacuate. Our staff are still treating patients.
We unequivocally condemn this action, the continued indiscriminate bloodshed and attacks on health care in Gaza.
We are trying to protect our staff and patients.
BREAKING: Human Rights Watch has confirmed that Israel used white phosphorus in Gaza and Lebanon. Upon contact white phosphorus burns people, thermally and chemically, down to the bone. Its use in populated areas is in direct violation of international law https://t.co/dO2QSdMBOY
