@BringBackBanjoK Except for the fragile analog stick, it was fine for what it needed to do in the 90s. It sucks nowadays because its button map is hard to translate to modern controller layouts. An "of its time" controller rather than a timeless one.
@Rjwaters2@tloz_queen True. But also the entire existence of the Ice Cavern depends on a frozen ZD. This all said, I think the remake should address this and have ZD's restoration happen in-game. I can understand the corner they put themselves in for the original where it wasnt worth the effort to fix
@claudiospartac@wildviper121@gaisericss You can glue the blaster to the robot. It can interpret visual cues because it scans the room. Hook up a small servo to the droid and have it scan the room, center on padme, actuate servo. Kablam.
@claudiospartac@wildviper121@gaisericss For example a windshield wiper motor can do about 40 pounds of force at only a 5 amp power draw (something the droid could definitely handle given it has window opening tech. The droid can clearly handle weight (Obi WaN). Gluing a blaster and a windshield wiper motor, viola.
@claudiospartac@wildviper121@gaisericss Can you describe why this is the case? Seems arbitrary. A simple servo that could provide even 5 pounds of force should be able to trigger a blaster if its anything like irl guns.
@claudiospartac@wildviper121@gaisericss The probe Droid actuates the compartment with the bug in it. The technology of mechanical actuation on that robot exists, the same principle that could be used to trigger a gun or bomb. If that specific Droid can't do this, they have the wrong Droid.
@basilries Only Zelda game that I put down twice to play other games before beating it. I wish I could play a version that cuts everything out except the dungeons because the dungeons were peak. Crazy that the Zelda team completely watered down what I felt they perfected in SS for BotW.
@Xingu1arity_ Before Corrin, Smash 4 had a KI (KIU mostly) problem. 3 chars for a 3-game series. Half the Smash Run enemies were KI. Ton of KIU items. MGS codec conversations were replaced with Palutenas Guidance. Sakurai bias worked against Kirby and for KI. Tho asset reuse is a big reason.
@zushimoment@CloudSt1313@PlayableDruid Real. Hating on Zelda II sounds like a tourist opinion. Trashing Zelda II makes you sound like you've played less than 5 NES games.
@gamer_tower@AdriWindGB@aouad_paul Agreed. I've been to Japan twice and didn't see anything FE related, Aside from games. Within the Nintendo sphere, I saw plenty of Kirby, Pokemon, Splatoon, and Pikmin. Nintendo Stores didn't even carry any FE merch (i know N only partially owns FE, but Kirby was there)
@LocusMomus@JerryPeepers@Destructo_Dude But Slippy and Peppy are in every game in the series. 80% of the time FE games have a wholly unique cast, so there's stratufication. Outside of the Smash Bros characters, what FE characters could have have a case for being more well known than the frog and rabbit from SF?
@LATin4k@cjthenorthstar@SamuraiFace@TRIPSTER0 Where did I praise anything? I simply described the game for someone who hadn't played it.
I would have preferred an original game over a remake.
@cjthenorthstar@SamuraiFace@TRIPSTER0 The game features 15 different levels and 25 different possible paths and two different possible endings. The game is meant to be replayed. Each play through is like a movie that plays out differently every time.
Itโs all happening can you believe it Paul and Ringo doing a double what gonna happen next peace of love everybody ๐โ๏ธ๐โค๏ธ๐ถ๐๐ฅฆ๐๐ป๐โฎ๏ธ
@CrimsonSmasher@kaznius@Eldonchorizo_ Im commenting on a post about comparing the Steam Controller to the S2 pro. Not an 8bitdo. Arguing that a S2 pro controller is more expensive than a SC because there's a subscription-based button taking up otherwise unused space is silly.
@CrimsonSmasher@kaznius@Eldonchorizo_ "Need a subscription to use a button" is such a funny point. The alternative is the button doesn't exist. Its not taking the spot of something else. And you can remap it, so if you're absolutely desperate to use a button flush with the face at the bottom of the R Joycon...
@Gabeiscool56@NintenDeenYT The one thing DK Bananza makes me worried about for the future of 2D DK is difficulty. DK's games have traditionally been harder than Mario's, but Bananza was extremely easy outside of the final battle. 2D DK with no DKC difficulty would be such a wet noodle of a game.
