An artist:
(1) bought an Andy Warhol drawing for $20,000
(2) made 999 high-quality forgeries of it
(3) shuffled them together
(4) sold each of the 1,000 drawings for $250 each
"If you pay your $250 maybe you’ll get the original $20,000 Warhol, but you’ll never know."
@GPair10 @AffleckEmma Seems like some folk have solidarity with trans people and won’t put up with this gay panic crap dredged up from the talking points of the reactionary right that was out of date in the 70s. But ya know, not my lane 🤷 #CisWithTheT
@AuntSally_ca @AffleckEmma Stop monstering trans people. Every part of this vile tweet just shows what kind of person you are. Vile bigotry? Try looking in the mirror.
@GPair10 @AffleckEmma Wtf are you on about? Are you GC weirdos just scouring hashtags for people to jump? It’s not a great look… you’re yelling at a Self identified lesbian to care about herself? And how is Emma creating any castes, she is pretty impressive but that’s just ridiculous!
What a boring reductionist addition to the "conversation". Too many will see this as a powerful statement where its bland reality is just the ignorance of the fantastic spectrum of lived gender experiences.
I tracked down the source: a magazine called La Vie Parisienne. the illustrator is Georges Léonnec. the caption translates to "And now, monsieur, would you do me the kindness of giving me your pants?"

@JuliaFtacek Who knows anymore. The clapping is so emblematic of britishness currently, better to thoughtlessly clap than actually fund the NHS appropriately or engage with the governments procurement system. Let's just rely on a conveyor belt of pensions walking in circles instead.
