The US looked pretty tired from the opening whistle after running so much in the group stage, which I think accounted for a lot of the open players in transition and poor marking/tracking back on crosses.

Penn State was beating Ohio State 21-16 with 9:26 left in the 4th...and lost 44-31. 28 points in a heart beat and once again Penn State collapses late against Ohio State. In the end better Jims and Joes beat Xs and Os.

Tough loss and season for Penn State. Difference in the game was Michigan RB Haskins yards after contact. And PSU needs to recruit a more explosive RB. Plus, you also have to deal with the normal James Franklin stupidity at the end of games.

Good effort by Penn State but they just don't have enough firepower on offense this year, especially in the running game, to beat a team like Ohio Stat. Plus, 3 turnovers for 10 points didn't help either

To be competitive with Ohio State you usually need to put up 30, and 40 is the magic number to win. Based on what I have seen so far from Penn State this year, they don't have the firepower for more than 20, but let's see if their defense plays out of their minds.

Penn State is now ranked 20 in the polls. With a road game coming up against Ohio State, and games left against Michigan, and Michigan State (away), I can easily see a team once considered a playoff contender, going 7-5 and finishing unranked.
