“Most people on the left are not opposed to freedom. They are just in favor of all sorts of things that are incompatible with freedom. Freedom ultimately means the right of other people to do things that you do not approve of.”
— Thomas Sowell
"Much of what is called 'social problems' consists of the fact that intellectuals have theories that do not fit the real world. From this, they conclude that it is the real world which is wrong and needs changing."

@PlayoffBoundNYK I think it's flukey. His rim pressure is down significantly, shown in his % of FGA at the rim this year being a career-low(by a lot).
His efficiency on shots outside of 5 ft is uncharacteristically high. Unless he took a huge leap as an outside shot-maker, regression is coming.
@kcjones1498@jfunk33 I think a KAT/Hartenstein duo would be fine for the most part defensively, but moving KAT to the 4 minimizes his unique offensive value.
If KAT is at 35mpg and Hartenstein is at 25, that means KAT is at the 5 for only half the game. Could that work? Sure, it just isn't perfect.
@kcjones1498 lol I wish. Smart by Mavs tho. Even if Cisse isn't apart of their long-term vision, if he continues to play well, he should have good trade value to contending teams(like the Knicks, lol)
@kcjones1498 Well yes, they've never had a perfect roster, but the only two issues that I'd say are legit are backup C(glaring hole) and a true secondary creator outside of Brunson, which has been an issue for years. But backup C is a bigger issue, IMO.
@okcamars The answer to this is obvious, and OKC should've considered this even before the injuries: Hartenstein for Trey Murphy. Would need to make salaries work, and Hartenstein might need to go to a third team, but Trey Murphy has always been the kind of player OKC has needed.
@kcjones1498 Unless the Knicks start like 7-18 in their first 25, I'm not really too concerned. This same core, + a better bench big should still be the favorites in the East IMO.
@kcjones1498 While backup C is a legit issue, I think all the panic takes I've been seeing are a bit silly. The Knicks looked worse during that 2-9 stretch than they have in this 0-3 start, and that team literally won the championship in dominant fashion.
@TAizenberg@TheSixthManLAL Move off Vando. Assuming Vando accepts PO, teams will be more willing to take him on because it will be for only one season. That clears up like $13mil in space right there.
Also, every year there are great rotation players signed for the min. Like Landry Shamet 2 yrs in a row
@Barcaruinedme Not really "evolution" but I saw someone suggest three months ago that you allow teams, for each of their home games, to choose the dimensions of the 3-point line for both teams. Would be a really dun wrinkle IMO.
@jfromflorida1 I pitched this during the Knicks 2-9 stretch last year, a Mikal-Dejounte swap.
Gives the Knicks a true 2nd on-ball shot maker, allows Brunson to play off the ball. Plus, Dejounte impacts the margins(steals, rebounds), and is also a great mid-range scorer, like Mikal.
@Rothmus Those who are opposed to corporations and favor government do not realize that government is simply the largest, most monopolistic corporation of all and it has a monopoly on violence.
@ShaxNBA Mikal is a very good basketball player, but he is so underwhelming as an on-ball scorer. Maybe he just has less of a bag than I initially thought he did, but he NEVER looks to create a shot unless it's an end of the shot-clock fallaway jumper.
