@robertlufkinmd @thecybersurg This is not Naples in 1970 - I get the point and a good one it is, but Naples in 1970 had less than 10,000 residents and had not yet become the attraction it is today. We went to the beaches back then, on a busy day maybe 100-200 folks at the beach.
Gavin Newsom's friends at the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) are charging $53,000 to connect gas at Pacific Palisades fire victims' homes
CPUC is controlled by 5 Commissioners, all appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom
Spencer Pratt “ A Palisades homeowner trying to rebuild was just recently charged $53,000 connection fee by SoCal gas. Apparently, when a structure is demolished, AKA Newsome and bass, let your house burn down and you have to rebuild it. The service must be re-established like it's a new construction.
So SoCal gas said that they have been advocating with the state to get these rebuilding fees waived. Turns the California Public Utilities Commission, CPUC, directly regulates all of SoCalGas customer charges, deposits and fees.
SoCalGas can request approval to waive or suspend fees, but the CPUC must issue a ratify a resolution authorizing the change. So even if SoCalGas wanted to, it is not allowed to waive these astronomical fees until the CPUC gives their stamp of approval
And wouldn't you know, the CPUC is controlled by five Commissioners, all appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom.”
