His name is Ranjitsinh Disale.

He wanted to be an engineer. When that did not work out, his father suggested he train as a teacher instead.

In 2009, he was posted to a government primary school in Paritewadi, a small village in Solapur district, Maharashtra. The school was a crumbling building wedged between two storerooms, one of which had been used as a cattle shed.

What he found there troubled him.

Girls were being married off young instead of being sent to class. Attendance was poor. The textbooks were written in a language many of the children, who spoke Kannada at home, could not properly read.

He decided to fix all of it, starting with the books.

He learned the children’s mother tongue and rewrote their textbooks in a language they could actually understand.

Then he did something no one in India was doing at the time.

He printed unique QR codes inside the textbooks, allowing students with access to a phone to scan a page and instantly access audio poems, video lessons and practice questions.

A village school in Solapur had built a digital classroom out of paper and printed squares.

The results changed the village.

Girls’ attendance reached nearly one hundred percent. Teenage marriages in the area stopped. His QR code idea worked so well that the Maharashtra government adopted it across the state.

The following year, the national education body embedded QR codes in textbooks across the country.

In 2020, Ranjitsinh Disale won the Global Teacher Prize. He was chosen from more than twelve thousand nominations across roughly one hundred and forty countries and was the only Indian in the top ten.

The award carried one million dollars, around seven crore rupees.

Then he did something no winner had ever done before.

He announced that he would give away half the prize money, dividing it equally among the other nine finalists so that their work could continue as well.

He said teachers are the real change makers.

He meant all of them, not just himself.

A man who became a teacher only because engineering did not work out changed how an entire country learns, and then gave half his fortune to the people he had competed against.

जैसलमेर में 1966 के बाद सामने नही आया कोई भी लव जेहाद का मामला ....??

जैसलमेर में एक ब्राह्मण ने लव जिहादियों की ऐसे गर्दन उतरवाई की तब से आज तक वहां कोई लव जिहाद का मामला नहीं आया ...!!

जैसलमेर जिले के मुगलों का गाँव सनावाडा में 1966 में हुई एक घटना जिक्र रहा हूँ...

मुगल बाहुल्य गाँव था सनावाड़ा ..जहाँ का सरपंच एक मुगल था.. सरपंच का पुत्र जोधपुर में पढाई कर रहा था... गर्मी के अवकाश में लड़का अपने गाँव आया हुआ था...!!

पास के गाँव के एकमात्र श्रीमाली ब्राह्मण परिवार की कन्या सरपंच के पुत्र को भा गई... पहले तो पिता ने पुत्र को समझाया....धर्म और मजहब में अंतर बताया... किन्तु जब पुत्र जिद्द पर अड़ गया.. तो सरपंच 10-,15 मुगलों को साथ लेकर ब्राह्मण के घर गया और कन्या का हाथ (बलपूर्वक) अपने पुत्र के लिए माँगा....!!

ब्राह्मण परिवार पर तो मानो ब्रजपात हो गया हो.....
किन्तु कुछ सोचकर ब्राह्मणदेव ने दो माह का समय माँगा....
दुसरे दिन हताश ब्राह्मणदेव पास के राजपूत गाँव में वहां के ठाकुर के निवास पर गये .... और निवास के मुख्य द्वार के सामने फावड़े से मिटटी खोदने लगे...!!

बड़े ठाकुर साहब उस समय घर पर नहीं थे ...मगर 17 वर्षीय कुंवर और उनकी माताजी जी घर पर थे... जब ब्राह्मण द्वारा मिटटी खोदने की सुचना उन्हें मिली ...तो कुंवर ब्राम्हणदेव के पास गए और आदरपूर्वक मिट्टी खोदने का कारण पूछा...!!

ब्राह्मणदेव ने उत्तर दिया :- कुंवर जी... मैने सुना है ..धरती माता कभी बीज नहीं गंवाती... खोद कर देख रहा हूँ ..कि हमारे रक्षक क्षत्रिय समाज का बीज आज भी है या नष्ट हो चुका है ....??

कुंवर पूरे 17 वर्ष के थे.. बात को समझ गए ...उन्होंने ब्राह्मणदेव को वचन दिया कि आप निश्चिन्त रहें विप्रवर..
मैं राजपूत आपको वचन देता हूँ ...कि आपके सम्मान हेतु प्राण दे दूँगा ...किन्तु पीछे नहीं हटूँगा..…. आप अतिथि घर में पधारें.. स्नान आदि करके भोजन करिए... तब तक पिताश्री भी आ जायेंगे...आपको निराश नहीं करेंगे...!!

जब ठाकुर साहब वापिस आये तो कुंवर ने पूरी बात बताई और वचन देने वाली बात भी बताई...

ठाकुर साहब ने ब्राह्मणदेव से कहा कि :- गुरूदेव ..मैं आपको धन देता हूँ... आप कोई योग्य ब्राह्मण लड़का देख कर अपनी कन्या का रिश्ता तय कर लें... साथ ही मुगल सरपंच को उसी तिथी पर दो माह बाद बारात लेकर आपके घर आमंत्रित करें... बाकी का कार्य हम पूरा करेंगे...!!

दो माह बीते और बताये समय पर मुगल सरपंच भारी दलबल के साथ ब्राह्मण के घर बारात लेकर पहुँच गया...

तिलक के समय ठाकुर के कुंवर ने अपने दो चाचा के साथ मिल कर पहले वर का सर काटा और कटे सिर को लहराते हुए उसी विवाह मंडप में भयंकर रक्तपात मचाया...!!

वो मंजर कुछ ऐसा था.. जैसे शेर पूरी ताकत से शिकार कर रहा हो... उसके बाद कार्बाइन से गोली चला कर सभी बारातियों सहित सरपंच तमाम मुगलों को जहन्नुम पहुंचा दिया...

उस दिन का दिन और आज का दिन जैसलमेर में आज तक कोई लव जिहाद जेसी घटना नहीं हुई...कुंवर आज भी जीवित हैं.. और मुगल उनको देख कर आज भी भय से कापते है...!!

In Banjara Hills, Hindus staged protest at the collectors office, opposing the Congress government’s decision to put the Peddamma Thalli Temple land up for sale.

Those who staged protest were arrested and taken to Nampally Police Station.

Last year, Local revenue officials dismantled part of the Peddamma Thalli Temple in MLA Colony, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad and removed the idol.
Devotees said the action was done covertly early in the morning without prior notice.

As of 2026, Tamil Nadu is the only state in India that does not have any Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs). As the name indicates, this policy was formulated when Congress was in power and the BJP has continued it.

It is generally a bad idea for one state to keep resisting policies every other state, including non-BJP states, accept.

DMK pursued that arrogant policy and lost.

Given that the Congress is in the ruling alliance in Tamil Nadu, I hope they push for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya schools in the interest of our Tamil Nadu students.

Accepting Jawahar Navodaya Schools would not lose a single vote and in fact may win many votes from grateful parents. Pragmatism in such matters is politically wise.
