We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Hall of Famer Willie Mays, one of the most exciting all-around players in the history of our sport.

Mays was a two-time MVP, 24-time All-Star, 12-time Gold Glove Award winner, and a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

In commemoration of "The Catch" as perhaps the most famous play in the history of the Fall Classic, the World Series MVP Award was named in his honor in 2017.

Mays was 93 years old.

NEW: Man arrested after hitting two bikers near Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

Footage shows the man appearing to purposely hit the riders before running one of them over.

The driver was then chased down by those who witnessed the incident. The man was then arrested according to @auroramyst.

"Please watch for bicyclists. Riders who were hit are expected to be ok, thank God. Driver took off and was chased down by others, and was arrested. Happened in DFW Airport area," she reported.

My prayers and thoughts go out to the Mays family. Willie was a mentor and true friend, and I am blessed to have had him in my life for as long as I did! He was an icon of the game and one of the greatest to ever play this special sport. He will be sorely missed by everybody in the Giants family — rest in peace my friend!!!
