When you think about how certain bishops act, you almost have to pinch yourself to make sure you're awake.
"Hey, look at this flourishing area of the Church! Let's stamp it out! Look at what's attracting the faithful—lose no time in forbidding or ostracizing it! Where are families booming and vocations rising? Quick, lock the doors!"
It's enough to make you surrender to the darkest conspiracy theory on hand.
Sadly, that generation (by and large) is going to die on the hill of the New Pentecost, and nothing will make them surrender to reality.
@PhilCatholic post-conciliar magisterium should be exactly the same as pre-conciliar magisterium or do you not know what it actually means to be Catholic? The idea that there are different magisteria is a huge problem.
@EricRSammons Having lived through an F5 tornado in 1999 which passed yards from where we were crouching in a bathtub might I suggest The Act of Contrition. 😅
Being that it’s Corpus Christi I’d like to offer some advice to help us all take more seriously our faith in the dogmatic teaching that the Most Holy Eucharist is the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity’s sacramental mode of presence:
Basics:
1. Attend Mass every Sunday and Holy Days of Obligation regardless of whether you can sacramentally receive Communion or not.
2. Do not receive Holy Communion if you discern mortal sin on your conscience. First, go to Confession and receive sacramental absolution.
3. Diligently observe the Eucharistic Fast, that is, no consumption of food and drink at least one hour prior to the reception of Holy Communion. The only exceptions to this are natural water, medication, and health issues. Coffee, tea, booze, candy, gum, artificially carbonated water, soda, etc., breaks the Eucharistic Fast.
4. Prepare yourself for both remotely and proximately for Mass. A good help to this is reading the readings and orations of the Mass before you attend Mass.
5. While at Mass be attentive to the prayers and readings.
6. Regardless of whether you can receive communion sacramentally, invite the Lord into your heart by way of a “Spiritual Communion.”
7. If you receive communion sacramentally, do so with reverence, this is of particular concern if you receive Communion in the hand. If so, do not receive in a casual way. Do not pop the host into your mouth like a pill. Do not grab the host. Receive the Lord with reverence and decorum.
8. If you are carrying a child or otherwise encumbered do not try to receive Communion in the hand.
9. After receiving Communion pray and reflect on the profound mystery you are sharing in at that very moment.
10. Kneel when the Blessed Sacrament is being transported.
11. If you walk into a church or chapel and Benediction is happening kneel in place until it is over before going to a pew.
Advanced:
1. Make regular daily visits to the blessed sacrament or attend daily Mass.
2. Receive communion according to the universal norm, that is, on the tongue, kneeling if convenient.
3. Participate in Eucharistic Processions.
4. Promote greater devotion to the Blessed Sacrament.
These are some very common ways that you can foster a greater devotion in yourself and promote devotion among others to Our Lord in the Most Holy Eucharist.

My name is Katy.
I’m a Christian.
And a child activist.
This June I’ll be celebrating & affirming marriage as it was designed to be by God; between one man and one woman (Matthew 19:4-6). Because it is Plan A for child protection, investment, and thriving.

Our youngest is currently attending a Chesterton Academy and it has been life changing for him! He is thriving and growing in faith and wisdom. It is amazing!
The Chesterton Schools Network, founded by Catholic convert Dale Ahlquist, is a growing network of Catholic schools with over 70 schools, aiming for 1,000 by 2040, focused on forming students into saints.
He brought the public sacrifice of the mass to an end during COVID.
He portrayed the building of a mammon city in Gaza with a golden statue of himself at the center.
He’s been portrayed on commemorative coins as a new Cyrus next to a temple in Jerusalem.
He’s portrayed himself as the Pope.
Now he portrays himself as Christ miraculously healing some mystery man (which looks creepily like Epstein).
Among a thousand other exhibits of a disturbingly biblical, even eschatological character.
He doesn’t have to be THE Antichrist for all this to be extremely, blatantly, in your face antichristic.
I grieve for the President’s soul.
And out of love for the President’s eternal soul, which is in grave jeopardy, let us pray and do reparation for his sins—particularly his blasphemies against Almighty God—with the hope that he repents and converts.
Pope Leo XIV opposes unjust war, genocide, abortion, contraception, same-sex marriage, IVF, and transsexualism.
Trump is soft or permissive on ALL those issues. Yet Trump calls the Pope “weak.” Who is the “weak” one?
We attended Mass at this seminary a couple years ago and it was the most beautiful Mass I've ever attended. I can't wait to see the beautiful church they plan to build there once it is finished.
🎶 Iste Confessor Domini, sung by the St Thomas Aquinas seminarians of the Society of St Pius X.
This is the music that belongs at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
@TaylorRMarshall There are elements which are incredibly beautiful--especially those which were constructed during Gaudí's lifetime. Then there are the elements which remind me so much of the world of Dr. Seuss. Not exactly inspiring. Definitely one of the most bizarre cathedrals in the world.
@Gamezaldo76316@MDLatinMass @MariaElenaJMJ I would argue Gregorian Chant is much easier to learn for the average lay Catholic than the un-intuitive music offered in the average NO parish.
