If you feel that a company’s practices are immoral or greedy, you the consumer have the option not to buy stuff from them. Greed is rampant because people don’t care as much as they say they do.

The material condition exists because people choose buy from the companies that endorse materialism. If people were inclined to live in communes, they would.

@senseipeen23325 @mcsquared34 I don’t necessarily disagree, but nobody is ripping ring doorbells off peoples houses the way flocks are getting sawed down. Because one is bought and used by the (capitalist) private sector and the other is used by the (non-capitalist) government sector.

Nobody complains about ring doorbells even though they do the same thing, because it’s fully consensual and supported by the private market, rather than government contracts.

@senseipeen23325 @mcsquared34 It has capitalist aspects, and anti capitalist aspects. Economies aren’t black and white. I’m not saying it isn’t a capitalist country, but that the issues at hand are being caused by the anti capitalist aspects, not the capitalist ones.
