Kyiv. Civilians try to escape the fire after a Russian drone struck the National Academy of Sciences.
The drone that carried out the strike was built mostly from Chinese components.
Meanwhile, the EU is lifting sanctions on Russian oligarchs.
The US President is asking that Russian oil refineries not be attacked.
The world has gone mad.
And soon this hell will come to other countries too. Because unpunished evil always grows.
Ukrainians tried to drop food to starving civilians in occupied Oleshky.
Russians shot the packages out of the sky. If one landed in your yard, they came for your family — accused them of helping the AFU, and took them. One family is still missing.
Occupiers also leave explosive “parcels.”
People are so hungry they should grab anything that falls. They’re too terrified to touch it.
This is how Russia treats a town it occupies.
We are having to use drones to deliver any sort of aid and supplies into Oleshky. The situation has been terrible for many months, but has gotten far worse. People will starve to death here without urgent intervention. Where are you, United Nations? @UNReliefChief@antonioguterres
In the Gulag, many 🇺🇦 women embroidered icons and amulets, and also told about their experiences in prison through embroidery. They even made needles themselves – from fish bones. Embroidery became a way to preserve national identity and resist despair.
Red Cross reports 275.000 Ukrainian civilians "missing" since 2022.
With satellite images of Mariupol mass graves and numerous reports of russian executions of civilians in occupied territories, puts the number of likely civilians killed by russia than a lot of people were (and still are) reporting.
And remember, russia does not allow international organizations or independent UN inspectors to make assessments in the occupied territories so the numbers could tragically be much higher.
I won't compare it with other wars because we don't do that but I remember all the horrible people comparing this to another war that is going on, telling us "it's not as bad in Ukraine"
There is no limit to how much we can hate russia and its apologists.
Justice will come one day.
Do you like Star Wars? Here’s what an issue of a Star Wars comic looks like after a Russian attack on the warehouse of its Ukrainian publisher, Varvar publishing. Russians systematically target Ukrainian books as part of their effort to destroy our cultural identity.
A long list of Ukrainian publishers, whose books were targeted by russian strikes only in the past few days. The strategy of erasure started in 2014, and intensifies. From the 18th century burning of Ukrainian religious literature to russian imperial persecutions to today.
@theatropoios@IAPonomarenko Knyharnya Ye and Megogo Books have a large variety of books and offer international delivery. Not sure whether there is a an english version of the websites, but auto translate should help.

Friends, these are especially difficult times for Ukrainian businesses.
Today, for example, several Ukrainian publishers and bookstore chains announced that their warehouses had been destroyed by missile strikes from fascist Russia. Unfortunately, among them was my favorite bookstore-cafe in Kyiv, ReadEat.
The guys there asked readers on social media today to support them and help their business survive this. So I made a point of coming to their store on Antonovycha Street today, and despite everything, they are still here: a place where you can buy a wonderful Ukrainian book or a vinyl record, and enjoy coffee and desserts in a cozy atmosphere to the sound of a piano.
So if you’re in Ukraine, I encourage you to support any Ukrainian bookstore or publisher you can, and help this wonderful culture of bookstore cafes survive, we are so proud of in Kyiv and across our country.
