🇿🇦 SOUTH AFRICA’S TREASURY DOXXES 300+ EMAIL ADDRESSES DURING COMMENT PROCESS ON CONTROVERSIAL CAPITAL FLOW RULES
South Africa’s National Treasury is proposing sweeping new Capital Flow Management Regulations that critics say would dramatically expand government oversight of private wealth and control cross-border financial activity.
The draft proposals reportedly include restrictions on cross-border Bitcoin transfers, disclosure requirements for Bitcoin holdings, and tighter reporting rules around offshore assets and portfolio values.
The South African Reserve Bank opened the proposals for public comment, allowing citizens to submit feedback online.
Now, South Africa’s National Treasury has reportedly exposed the email addresses of more than 300 participants after an employee replied to submissions without using BCC.
The proposed 2026 regulations have already sparked backlash because they could require South Africans to disclose assets including Bitcoin, gold holdings, ID numbers, residential addresses, and portfolio information as part of stricter capital flow reporting rules.
Critics argue the leak undermines confidence in the government’s ability to securely handle highly sensitive financial data tied to the proposals.
Action for everyone affected:
If you received the Treasury confirmation email and saw other people’s addresses in the To/CC field, please email @PRDG_ZA immediately.

This is a quote from the official programme of the Nazi Party of February 1920.
"We demand land reform adapted to our national needs, the creation of a law for the expropriation of land for public purposes without compensation."
All tyrants think alike.
🚨 The South African government is attempting to OUTLAW FINANCIAL FREEDOM.
🚫 Under the guise of "capital flow management," new draft regulations will effectively destroy self-custody and Bitcoin's promise of financial inclusion in our country.
🇿🇦 These aren't just rules for exchanges. They are a direct attack on EVERY South African.
Here’s what they do:
‼️ BAN SELF-CUSTODY: By targeting transactions that touch global network infrastructure, they make self-custody illegal.
‼️ FORCE LIQUIDATION: They grant the state the power to force the sale of Bitcoin to the National Treasury. This is expropriation.
‼️ OUTLAW CIRCULAR ECONOMIES: Peer-to-peer transactions for goods and services will be deemed "black market" activity if they exceed an unspecified threshold.
‼️ GIVE THE STATE ARBITRARY POWER: The Minister can decide the "threshold" for illegality at any time, creating uncertainty for everyone.
✊ This is a war on open, permissionless money. It's a war on the unbanked. It's a war on your right to control your own wealth.
📜 And they're trying to do it WITHOUT A VOTE IN PARLIAMENT.
⏳ The deadline for public objection is either May 18 or June 10, depending on which government source is consulted.
We have no time to waste.

This is big... Anthropic just announced a model so powerful they won't release it to the public out of fear over the damage it will cause 😨
Claude Mythos Preview found thousands of zero-day exploits in every major operating system and web browser...
The numbers are hard to believe:
> $50 to find a 27-year-old bug in OpenBSD, one of the most security-hardened operating systems ever built
> Under $1,000 to find AND build a fully working remote code execution exploit on FreeBSD that grants unauthenticated root access from anywhere on the internet
> Under $2,000 to chain together multiple Linux kernel vulnerabilities into a complete privilege escalation exploit
For context: these are the kinds of findings that previously required elite security researchers working for weeks.
Anthropic engineers with no formal security training asked Mythos to find exploits overnight. They woke up to working code the next morning.
The results were so impressive Anthropic assembled Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, NVIDIA, and seven other organizations into Project Glasswing:
A $100M defensive coalition. They're not releasing this model publicly. Instead, they're racing to patch the world's infrastructure before models like this proliferate.
🇿🇦 South African President Cyril Ramaphosa says that the country will not abandon its DEI policies, known as “Black Economic Empowerment (BEE).”
“Those who say BEE and affirmative action must stop are just dreaming,” he said.
South Africa has strict laws that mandate race-based hiring practices.
A new law called the Employment Equity Amendment Act sets hiring targets for 2025–2030 across 18 economic sectors.
Some workforce targets aim for 90–96% of employees to come from designated groups, which include Black people, women, and people with disabilities (minimum 3%).
That means that if a company has more than 5% white men, it could face penalties of up to 10% of its income.
The elephant in the room is that the ANC does not really like open discussion. They hate debate about policy and especially South Africa's international policy. The ANC was forced into a free, open, liberal democratic dispensation in 1994 but they actually like the autocracies of their friends in China, Russia, Iran, Venezuela and Cuba. What the American ambassador did this past week was not to attack South Africa or speak ill of it - on the contrary, he made a strong case in favour of South Africa, but he also tried to open a discussion about important issues that stand in the way of South Africa's path to greatness. And the ANC does not tolerate this.
