Ero un bambino quando saltai più in alto di quel marcantonio di Sol Campbell che nella finale di Parigi mangiò in testa ad Oleguer e ci portò avanti contro il Barcellona.

Dalla gioia arrivai fino alla luna. Il ritorno sulla Terra fu però traumatico. Le immagini dell'espulsione, del sorpasso, di Wenger bianco come un cencio e la paura di perdere Henry ancora mi perseguitano nelle notti buie. Quel bambino però tra una manciata di giorni tornerà a sognare di alzare al cielo la coppa dalle grandi orecchie.

Non importa come andrà a finire. Non me ne è mai importato. Contano le emozioni, contano serate come queste in cui sono grato a Dio di aver messo l'Arsenal sul mio cammino.
