@blind_via I guess this lines the ESP32 up nicely with the feedpoint of the antenna while giving it space to fan out the pins on a low cost PCB. At 90 degrees the chip would either be flush with the red connector or the feedline would be longer.

@martinfasani That PCB gets worse and worse the longer you look at it. Parts are placed like it's just trying to distribute them evenly, regardless of functionality. All traces have the same thin width and clearance. A regular auto router could do a better job without AI.
