@Gill_Gross Who are some of your favourite non-tennis broadcasters? What are some of the random, extraneous factors that make a commentator beloved by fans. Finally, when youโre watching another sport, are you trying to pick up commentating tips/tricks that you think could apply to tennis?
@Gill_Gross What are your thoughts on my Raptors? Do you think Luka Doncic will win a title with the Mavs? And what do your Knicks need to do to improve for the next decade?
@planning416 @GreggLintern Disagree. While larger developments on major arterial roads may be preferred, they take a lot longer to plan and build, whereas medium-story buildings can provide somewhat more accessible housing than previously there. Also, having a diversity of building types is beneficial too
@ChavanneEmilia Let's be real. Just like other Gulf countries, Oman doesn't care about its residents. About 50% of Omanis are not citizens, and many Omanis are still tribal. Attracting investments to help the wealthy elite stay wealthy is the name of the game. #newcitiesmcgill
@AmandaT_23 I honestly think that a big reason why investors are drawn to the great state of Arizona is due to land availability and land costs. Many bi-coastal cities have very little room to grow, whereas in the Southwestern US, land remains abundant. #newcitiesmcgill
@faithregan333 It's interesting that Putrajaya tries to be many things at once. A new capital, a beacon of Islamic architecture, and now an eco-city. Although as we saw in class, it is doubtful that any of Putrajaya's residents would believe that they're living in such. #newcitiesmcgill
I don't believe in charter cities or Prรณspera. I think the language charter city activists use is glazed in techno-libertarian discourse, and that it is impossible for corporate entities to look after a population better than a local government. #newcitiesmcgill
For those who aren't aware, Prรณspera, Honduras, a charter city project, has recently been re-initialized in the past year or so, and is the first charter city project in the world to have successfully struck ground and begun to build.

Of important note however is the fact that Paul Romer, once involved with the project, is now gone, and Prรณspera has a decidedly more local focus. However, it remains unclear exactly how independent the city will be, as the legal framework is not yet set by law. #newcitiesmcgill
Charter cities remain a controversial idea, and the fact that Prรณspera is pushing forward in its development is a sign that some governmental authorities may in fact be down to try this new city concept after all. #newcitiesmcgill
I really wonder when investors creating new city projects in African nations will begin to consider local interests and realistic goals. Supply without demand will always cause these projects to fail. #newcitiesmcgill
This article gives an update on Citรฉ du Fleuve, a new city project outside of Kinshasa, DRC, that just ten years ago was being touted as one of the most shocking and innovative city projects in Africa and across the world. #newcitiesmcgill

Additionally, contractual payments on condos and houses in the city project are a bit of a mess. Some have yet to pay, some have paid and not yet received their homes, and a certain French investor, Robert Choudury, is in extremely hot water. #newcitiesmcgill
I was surprised to see that not only had CDF not even come close to hitting residency targets, but that the urban areas is actually facing severe ecological challenges such as flooding and wastewater mismanagement. #newcitiesmcgill
