JJ Picollo has been in this organization since 2008
This is his 5th year as GM
I don’t want to hear the he needs time argument, he’s had plenty and proved to just be Dayton Jr.
@ryan_landreth You mentioned the 2000s Royals earlier. At least there wasn’t expectations for those teams. We all knew they’d be ass. This team is ass with expectations
@Smith86Wesley@ryan_landreth He’s been with the organization for 20 years. 20 really bad years outside of 2 of those. It’s time to get someone who hasn’t been involved in the organization. If you think he wasn’t involved in the Dayton Moore era and those decisions then idk what else to say.
@Smith86Wesley@ryan_landreth You’re really making my argument for me here. He’s done nothing to revamp the farm system. Could have and should have traded Bubic this offseason for a what would likely have been a decent haul. Now he’ll inevitably trade him in July for pennies on the dollar
@Smith86Wesley@ryan_landreth It’s time he’s gone. He doesn’t get paid to “try”. Trying means nothing when there’s no results. It’s not little league. Results matter and they’ve been universally horrible.
@Smith86Wesley@ryan_landreth Been with the Royals since 2006. Came from the Braves to the Royals with Dayton Moore. Was there with him from 1999-2006. I’d say all he is, is Dayton Moore 2.0. Can’t think of anything he’s actually done well.
@Smith86Wesley@ryan_landreth He has Also there 20 years (not in the same position) and the teams made the playoffs 3 times. If I had a job for 20 years and was only good for 3 of those years I’d have lost my job a long time ago.
@Smith86Wesley@ryan_landreth He’s allowed Zumwalt to keep his job despite a mountain of evidence as to why he shouldn’t be allowed near professional hitters.
