The very first piece of Mega Man X merchandise in the world was a pin / information card given out to the press at the Consumer Electronics Show Summer 1993 AKA CES.
It was June 3rd to the 6th, 1993 in Chicago, Illinois at McCormick Place Convention Center
Capcom had a big booth promoting the upcoming Street Fighter II Turbo release as well as Mega Man's big jump to the SNES with Mega Man X.
The prototype Mega Man X demo level on display was very different from the final product.
Mega Man X (or Rockman X) would debut 6 months later that year in December 1993 for Japan and January 1994 the following month in USA / Canada.
