@BrianaNBarner the habits that support it. Usually if we can repair our relationship with food, reduce stress & prioritize quality sleep & self love, we begin to do things that repair our metabolic health and weight loss tends to follow. We are so much more than that number on the scale. ❤️
@BrianaNBarner The critically important thing to understand is that weight is complex & can be affected by so many factors that are unique to each person including life stages, muscle mass, fat mass, bone mass etc. Weight alone says very little about actual metabolic health or (1/2)
@KimeraThePest@la_chalupacabra I think you're right about the OP asking that. We have to remember that people can be preyed on no matter their gender & that "preying" on someone isn't always related to gender-specific manipulation. This is just a weird red flag no matter who it's coming from or directed at.
@dreambarbecue@AgentJWF@aussieAI@visualbasic97 I apologized in another comment for assuming any genders. I thought the OP was female but apologized once someone corrected me. No matter the OP's gender though, the co-worker's behavior is a form of manipulation & a red flag for everyone reading to be aware of.
@KimeraThePest@RealBowiePro@la_chalupacabra@AgentJWF@aussieAI@visualbasic97 I think people have gotten used to instant gratification...including how they want / expect others to respond to them. It could still be innocent. The co-worker could be someone who misses social cues. But it's still important to call out the weird behavior just in case.
@KimeraThePest@RealBowiePro@la_chalupacabra@AgentJWF@aussieAI@visualbasic97 If the co-worker's intent was innocent, why not just ask for the phone number & say why? Why would the co-worker press the OP about not responding to the game invite the next time they see each other at work? Why was the OP made to feel an obligation to interact or play?
@KimeraThePest@RealBowiePro@la_chalupacabra@AgentJWF@aussieAI@visualbasic97 For me the predatory part is tricking someone into giving their personal info, then pressing them when they don't immediately choose to interact a certain way. Even with the OP not being female this is a weird route for the co-worker to take.
@la_chalupacabra@AgentJWF@aussieAI@visualbasic97 Yep. Being sneaky about why you want my info isn't the greatest way to start off a friendship. Some folks might think this is taking it too seriously, but tricking someone into giving up their personal info is taking away their choice to (or not to) interact. Not cool.
@AgentJWF@aussieAI@visualbasic97 Same. It seems completely harmless & very well could be. But I don't like being tricked into giving out personal info. When people do stuff like this it makes me less inclined to talk to them. Plus I don't think some folks understand that this *can* be dangerous for young women.
@DjVinyla @theylovetee_ @ShaY_L0ve@themultiplemom@MrTweetn_Grind It IS cultural though, and because of the cultural context the video DOES make sense - to those of us who grew up in or around the culture. Just because you don't get the reference or context doesn't mean the video doesn't make sense.
@glizzyvisionco@knix1000@smoke_nd_pearlz Exactly. There are options that don't involve cheating. And if those can't resolve any issues, it's probably best to just leave the relationship. From what I've seen, cheating comes from a person wanting things both ways, wanting to have their cake and eat it too, so to speak.

That meal might be their ONLY opportunity today to decompress. Their world could be falling apart & this meal is their time to try to pick up the pieces. Try not to take it personally. Try to have a little grace & compassion. We never know what battles folks are fighting.
@been_herde I just want to offer a slightly different perspective (1/2)
I served for many years, in a variety of environments (fine dining, deli, regular eat-in restaurants, special events etc.). I have had the opportunity to experience many types of people in many different settings.

Communication is different for every single person you meet. Some folks (like me) are absolutely overwhelmed by verbal communication for a variety of reasons. Verbal communication doesn't always come easily to everyone, especially small talk.
@TalysaM@NWSAtlanta From what I've heard they could be. Ingredients are there. Tune into Meteorologist Andy Hill on YouTube. He's got a multi-hour livestream of all of these storms & their warnings going on all afternoon. He works with @ryanhallyall who's out stormchasing in KY.
