President @realDonaldTrump,
Millions of people are asking for your attention to the case of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Many of his supporters believe he has consistently spoken out about the persecution of Christians in parts of Nigeria and has called for the right of the people of the former Eastern Region to determine their political future through a peaceful referendum.
A peaceful call for self-determination or a referendum should not, by itself, be treated as a crime. We respectfully urge your administration to encourage respect for due process, human rights, and the rule of law.
There are continuing concerns raised by his supporters and human rights advocates regarding his transfer from Kenya to Nigeria, which they describe as an extraordinary rendition, his prolonged detention, and the fairness of the legal proceedings against him. These issues deserve careful international attention and an impartial legal process.
Many people in Eastern Nigeria also continue to express concerns about political and economic marginalisation and believe these grievances require dialogue, justice, and equal treatment under the law.
We respectfully appeal to you to use your voice to encourage a lawful, transparent, and just resolution of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's case and to support peace, justice, and respect for fundamental rights in Nigeria.

Dave Umahi and the 5 Missing NELAN Engineers.
The firm assigned five of its best engineers to the project. They were:
• Engr. Nelson Onyemeh — Lead Consultant/CEO of NELAN Consultants, from Ihiala, Anambra State.
• Engr. Ernest Edeani — From Nkanu, Enugu State.
• Engr. Ikechukwu Ejiofor — From Umunya, Anambra State.
• Engr. Samuel Aneke — From Nkanu, Enugu State.
• Engr. Stanley Nwazulum — From Amawbia, Anambra State.
During the course of the project, serious tensions reportedly arose between NELAN and the Umahi administration over project control and payments. According to the families of the five engineers, the Umahi government allegedly wanted NELAN to "take a back seat" so the state could exercise direct control, issue payment certificates, and give instructions to contractors.
The then-Governor Dave Umahi reportedly wanted NELAN to sign or approve certificates of satisfactory completion for work supervised or executed by other engineers and contractors. NELAN allegedly refused, arguing that doing so would violate the AfDB contract terms, breach its professional obligations, and risk the firm, and possibly the project—being blacklisted by the AfDB.
On November 3, 2021, the five engineers left Enugu for Ebonyi State in an official Toyota Hilux (registration number ERR 001 EB) for site supervision. They never returned, and, to this day, neither they nor their remains have been found.
What happened to the five NELAN engineers?
Launch a scheme like Operation Zero Illiteracy in SE (OZI-Igbo). With defined mission statement, and SMART plan, raise the volunteers from the town union level and ensure you partner with every PG.
OZI Volunteers proceed with aggressive sensitization, idetifying barriers and embarking on massive awarenes campaigns in all local communities with the support of the town union
Ensure each idetified barrier is totally removed or reduced to the bearest margin. Lots of funding maybe required because some of the barriers are tied to poverty.
OZI will deploy a tech tool to monitor and track progress. Schools and students within the town union will be captured in this app and aggregated at both LGA and State level. Volunteers can utilize app to report real time discovery or progress within their locality.
OZI will need to Incentivise education and creat a reward system tailored to the unique nature of every town union. High performing kids will be rewarded in front of their peers at a town union or community level.
@winexviv You ve done so well inspiring the next generation. The memories for these young champs will remain eternal and history will always be kind to you.
TERROR ALERT – July 1, 2026
Equipping The Persecuted has received credible information indicating that the Islamist Fulani Ethnic Militia may be preparing coordinated attacks against Christian communities in Benue and Plateau States.
Communities believed to be at greatest risk include Agatu, Guma, Otukpo, and Ohimini LGAs in Benue State, as well as vulnerable communities in Jos South and Barkin Ladi LGAs in Plateau State.
According to credible information received from multiple ground sources, militant fighters have reportedly been mobilized from several northern states, and preparations for a large-scale offensive may already be underway.
We urge Christian communities, local leaders, village security teams, churches, and the Nigerian security services to remain on the highest level of alert and take immediate precautions to protect vulnerable civilians.
Equipping The Persecuted has repeatedly issued advance warnings that have preceded deadly attacks. We pray these warnings are acted upon before more innocent lives are lost.
