I've been very disconnected since EWC, so I just wanted to finally announce something that I've been working hard on for a while.

After MW2 Champs, I was approached by Idaho State University (In my hometown) and hired to coach and build an Esports program from the ground up. So for the past year, I've been in charge of selecting equipment for the facility (around $150,000), conducting interviews/selecting teams, league signups, etc. I have a great team with my broadcast coordinator Daniel (@stormraige23) and student intern Emory (@Ejrl513) and it's been a great experience so far. I've been at the facility around 40 hours a week post-EWC, since our season started right at the end of August.

We are competing in the @NACEsports Varsity league (will be adding more soon), where all other teams are different schools that also have to play out of their school's facility, so we aren't just playing pros that are remote. For this first Fall 2024 semester, we have a total of 20 players across our 3 teams (150+ more applicants), and getting to work with all of my players in person is incredible. We are competing in Rocket League, Valorant, and Overwatch 2, and there are plans for expansion by Spring. I've been avidly learning all 3 games at once, and I've been loving the process.

There is a definite learning curve, but I'm super grateful to have this job at home. I've been grinding with my head down for 8 years in Challengers total as a player and coach. I committed to this path a long time ago, and finally have a real career in Esports 🥂

REPORT: Activists are upset at YouTuber Mr. Beast for building 100 wells across Africa that provided clean drinking water to its citizens

Although the wells provide clean water to half a million Africans, activists are upset with Mr. Beast because they're annoyed a white male was the one who solved the problem.

"I’ve been doing this for 15 years, but we’ve been struggling to continue the work because funding, awareness, and advocacy all take work," said founder of FACE Africa Saran Kaba Jones.

"Overnight, this person comes along, who happens to be a white male figure with a huge platform, and all of a sudden, he gets all of the attention. It’s kind of frustrating, but it’s also understanding the nature of how the world is," she said before giving him a weak 'thank you.'

Others were upset that Mr. Beast "highlighted" the failures of the Kenyan government that maintained the stereotype that Africa is "dependent on handouts… and philanthropic intervention."

Mr. Beast predicted the backlash, saying he he knows he is going to get "canceled" but he doesn't care.

"I already know I'm gonna get canceled because I uploaded a video helping people, and to be 100% clear, I don't care."

Clean drinking water is racist.
