JUST IN: In a major blow to Donald Trump, a federal appeals court ordered the Trump administration to halt construction of the White House ballroom without congressional approval.

In a 2-1 decision, the U.S. Court of Appeals sided with historic preservationists who sued to block the project.

“Whether or not a massive ballroom should be constructed is for Congress to decide and is not a matter for Executive self-help,” the court wrote.

The reason why this is so momentous is that Judge Sullivan has now set a status hearing for next week, ordering both parties—me and Todd Blanche—to appear. He has pretty much said in this order, “Todd Blanche, you have now defied my orders.”

I think this is a really important moment when it comes to compliance and whether this judge is going to allow Todd Blanche to continue to violate not only the Epstein Files Transparency Act but also the judge’s own orders.
