@talktoBOI locked out of Business Online for 11 days. Help desk is beyond useless. Where did the business managers go?? Seriously poor customer service
Beautiful and beloved Butter went wandering this afternoon from Belgrave Square. Please keep an eye or two out. Here is the handsome labrador in sunnier times. RT appreciated as always. 🙏
The Ombudsman raises serious concerns about children's rights in a letter to the HSE CEO.
Our Budget Submission 2024 calls for urgent attention to be paid to children's disability services.
Unacceptable waiting lists have existed for years and have been compounded by major issues with recruitment and retention of staff.
The budget should fund a comprehensive workforce planning strategy, this should involve addressing the retention of staff through improving conditions and ensuring pay parity. It should also ensure that the voice of children and their families are at the centre of any improvements to services and take a rights-based approach.
We are concerned at short term fixes such as moving therapists to special schools. Whilst some families welcome this, understandably, it will not fix the more systemic issues.
The whole system needs to be resourced properly and any child who has significant needs should be a priority no matter what location they receive their education.

Today we are announcing a significant increase in the number of third level places for those who want to study therapies like speech & language therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy & also study to become speech & language therapy assistants. An important measure.
We just had a horrendous experience in Dublin Airport
@Ryanair closed the doors to our flight in front of our face. People had walked through seconds earlier. We explained that we our four year old is autistic and needs to get on the plane last. Right as we were about to board he needed to pee. Then he lost his important flyer lanyard and we were looking for it. Staff didn’t care and kept repeating that it was closed. Nobody had even been allowed onto the plane at this stage and were all still queuing. We begged and pleaded to let us on. My poor son was having a meltdown because he was ready to get on the plane.
How can @Ryanair treat an autistic child with such a lack of understanding or empathy
The staff in @DublinAirport are all angels! They were AMAZING
