Charles Aniagolu said Audu Maikori came “across as a pretty intelligent young man”. And you know Charles, he is as professional as they come. A truly world-class act.

Charles is right, but I don’t think that would have come as a surprise to anyone who’s known Audu through the years.

Whilst watching the @Audu interview on Arise TV, the interesting thing for me was, despite the touchy nature of the subject matter and the fact that this was more a personal conversation, one that clearly must have been emotional for him, not only did he keep his emotions in check, he never raised his voice. Not once.

He took responsibility for his own shortcomings, never uttered a word of hate and insisted on justice and the rule of law. No recklessness, no iota of hate and everything was said with a full sense of clarity.

He even went a step further to say whilst he doesn’t really know Governor @ubasanius personally, he acknowledged the telling difference in security in Kaduna State under the Sani administration. Charles acknowledged the telling change on one of those security points.

Irrespective of your biases on any of these issues, the Audu interview is a template for how to engage conversations, online, on TV and wherever.
