The Smithfield-China lobbying cover-up scandal I exposed last week just got worse.

Just 24 hours after my exclusive viral story last week about how China-owned Smithfield’s @SmithfieldFoods @SmithfieldBrand longtime lobbyist from @GT_Law Greenberg Traurig hid the company’s Chinese ties and was forced to report it after a watchdog complaint, Smithfield’s lobbying disclosure was amended AGAIN on Sept. 3 to ERASE any mention of the company’s CCP-linked Chinese owner 万洲国际 (WH Group).

This is super shady.

Here’s the timeline:

On July 20, Smithfield lobbyist Christopher DeLacy at Greenberg Traurig @GT_Law checked "NONE" on the foreign-interest disclosure box when asked on a federal form whether his lobbying for Smithfield to influence the Farm Bill and allow China to own U.S. farm land benefited any foreign interests. They wrote the same thing on all disclosure reports dating back to 2023.

On August 18, after a watchdog group filed a federal complaint, the disclosure form was amended and resubmitted to add that Smithfield’s Chinese owner 万洲国际 (WH Group) had an interest in the lobbying.

Then, on September 3, one day after I exposed the coverup and it went viral, the firm submitted another amendment to its lobbying disclosure that completely deleted any mention of Smithfield’s Chinese owner (after adding it 2 weeks earlier).

What the hell is going on? Smithfield is 87% owned by China. Their CCP-connected Chinese owner obviously has an interest in their lobbying on the Farm Bill, the Save Our Bacon Act, and other efforts to give Communist China more control of the US food supply.

With the next Farm Bill vote approaching soon, Smithfield’s lobbyist’s cover-up of the company’s Chinese ties is extremely alarming and needs to be investigated immediately.

Congress, the Trump Treasury Department and the American people deserve the truth about the extent of China’s dangerous influence over our agriculture and food policy.

11 Days Before 9/11: "Bin Ladin Operations Are Expert and Flexible"

There were multiple, credible warnings before the terrorist attack, during the Clinton and Bush Administrations.

This President's Daily Brief or PDB is notable because it reads like a road map to the 9/11 plot.

While the 9/11 Commission Report is impressive in many ways, it downplays the roll of Saudi Government connected individuals, or even omits them.

And it does not entirely capture the depth and breadth of warnings: especially to the Clinton White House, and later the Bush White House that we can now see independently thanks to the @CIA declassification.

- Bin Ladin's al-Qa'ida organization stresses careful planning, tight security practices, and flexibility throughout all stages of terrorist strikes-sound operational practices that allow it to pose a continuing threat to US interests even in a heightened security environment.
- Al-Qa'ida cells prepare for an attack well beforehand by conducting thorough surveillance of potential targets.
- Group members are expert in conducting different types of attacks and know how to protect their plans from discovery.
- al-Qa 'ida's camps in Afghanistan provide
training in the construction of improvised bombs of varying sizes from widely available materials.
- Operatives train for as long as several months in various forms of assassination, kidnapping, the use of rockets, mortars, and other longer-range weapons, as well as crude chemical and biological attacks.

The CIA just declassified 71 Presidential Daily Briefs spanning 1998 through September 2001 on the anniversary of 9/11

One of the documents, dated December 4, 1998, warned President Clinton that Bin Laden and his allies were preparing attacks inside the United States, including aircraft hijackings. It said operatives had already done a trial run and evaded security at a New York airport.

Members of the network had received hijack training. Another 1998 brief was titled “Reports That Bin Laden is Planning Attacks Inside the US.” The well-known August 6, 2001 PDB “Bin Laden Determined To Strike in US” came more than a month before the attacks.

Bill Clinton knew and did nothing.

The warnings stretched across two presidential administrations.

A newly released collection of presidential intelligence briefs shows warnings spanning the Clinton and George W. Bush administrations, including reports that discussed possible hijackings and the prospect of using an explosives-packed aircraft against a U.S. city. The warnings did not identify the specific targets or timing of the Sept. 11 plot.

By August 2001, intelligence officials were also reporting suspicious activity inside the U.S. consistent with preparations for hijackings or other attacks, while the FBI was conducting roughly 70 investigations it considered related to bin Laden.

The CIA released 71 intelligence reports on the 25th anniversary of the attacks, offering a new look at the warnings reaching the highest levels of government before nearly 3,000 Americans were killed.

A Sept. 10, 1998, briefing told Clinton that bin Laden's preferred option was to strike Washington, D.C. — potentially by flying an explosive-packed airplane into a U.S. city. A 1998 intelligence report revealed Al-Qaeda operatives had already completed a trial hijacking run at a New York airport. BREAKING: Terry Liu, the Chinese national arrested this week in Maine, has been charged with illegally modifying the hardware of Customs and Border Patrol computers at the Maine-Canada border.
