Shot out to #montgomery residents. A few years back, they overwhelmingly approved a sales tax increase to rebuild our local roads. I'm happy to report that we will utilize almost $4 million to rehab 10 miles of our streets in 2019. #fundinfrastructure
Honored to meet with @LaurenUnderwood this past weekend to discuss the infrastructure needs in our community and our future water supply planning efforts in #montgomeryIL. Thank you!
Kids ask the best questions! “How are you going to get more money for @sd308 schools?” and “Where will you buy electricity from in the future to help solve #climatechange?”
He impacted all of our towns through his advocacy for good, strong local government, sustainable water supply planning and much more. Although his time here has passed, his legacy in this regard will live on.
In honor of the life and legacy of Mayor Weisner, I have directed the flags of the Village to be flow at half staff and bunting be placed on Village buildings from today until his pending funeral.
When I was first elected, he reached out to offer guidance and support that quickly grew into a great friendship.
Through his many endeavors, Mayor Weisner reached far beyond the borders of his beloved Aurora.
I am saddened by the passing of my friend and colleague former @CityofAuroraIL Mayor Tom Weisner. His legacy will live on as a leader who had a clear vision of the future and successfully chartered a course to achieve it.
