Elected Mayor in 2020, after representing District 6 on the Buckeye City Council | AZ native | ASU Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management
I applaud the bipartisan state budget agreement that was reached. Critically, this budget protects and preserves funding for the I-10 widening project from Citrus Road to SR 85 so we can begin construction.
This is a huge win for Buckeye and the West Valley as we continue working to improve safety, mobility, and economic development along one of Arizona’s most critical transportation corridors.
I want to thank the many residents, businesses and stakeholders who helped advocate for this critical infrastructure project. There are always many competing interests when building a state budget, and we also deeply appreciate the West Valley legislators who fought to keep this project moving forward, particularly @SteveMontenegro, @MichaelCarbone, @Livingston4AZ, @realnickkupper and Senator Tim Dunn.
Mayor Orsborn spent a wonderful morning visiting kindergarten students at John McCain Elementary, diving into books with some of Buckeye’s youngest learners. He also joined the Reading Rocket assembly to personally congratulate students for their hard work and dedication in hitting their reading goals.
Mayor always enjoys opportunities to visit our local schools, connect with students and teachers and see the incredible work happening in our classrooms every day.
Thank you to Ms. Reyes for the invitation, the wonderful kindergarten teachers who welcomed him into their classrooms and the Buckeye Elementary School District for your continued partnership and dedication to Buckeye students.
The House and Senate GOP budget proposal protects critical funding to widen I-10 from Citrus Road to SR 85, allowing construction to begin this summer. This is a major investment in safety, mobility, economic development, and the future of the West Valley.
Thank you to @SteveMontenegro, @MichaelCarbone and @VoteWarren for helping ensure this project can move forward. Safety is not a partisan issue, and as negotiations continue with @GovernorHobbs, this funding must remain in the budget.
Spent some time with 3rd graders at Grace Fellowship Academy reading about aviation and the Wright brothers—always a great reminder of how curious and engaged our students are.
The questions were thoughtful, fun, and kept me on my toes. Thank you to the teachers for the invitation and for including me in such a great classroom experience.
Great connecting with a group of leaders doing important work in our community.
Appreciate everything you all do to support those in need across the West Valley.

Great working with Buckeye Youth Council member Haylee on her FBLA video project.
As an active member of our Youth Council, Haylee shows her leadership through volunteering at community events and giving back to Buckeye. Proud of you, Haylee!
Happy Birthday to Melanie, our Continuous Improvement Manager.
Appreciate everything you do to support our team and help us better serve Buckeye. Hope you had a great day!
We are so excited for @Burlington join the Buckeye community, plus they let me drive a bulldozer. Thanks to @AZcommerce & @GPEC for helping bring great companies, like Burlington to the region.
Burlington broke ground on its nearly 2-million-square-foot distribution center in Buckeye, which will support thousands of new jobs once operational in 2028. @BuckeyeAZGov

I was proud to submit this op-ed and encourage everyone to get involved in protecting I-10 widening in the West Valley. But the original headline got it wrong, and I need to clarify a few things. The funding threat did not originate with the Legislature. It was @GovernorHobbs FY27 Executive Budget that proposed eliminating this funding and delaying this critical project. To be clear, some of this project’s strongest champions have been @SteveMontenegro, @MichaelCarbone, @Livingston4AZ, @RealNickKupper and Senator Dunn. Blaming legislators who have been fighting for this project is simply not accurate or fair.
I should have also made clear that everyone should also contact the Governor and emphasize that this project is far too important to become a bargaining chip in state budget negotiations.
Public safety is not negotiable. Let’s work together to get this done for Arizona!
Salt cedar is an invasive plant. It poses an extreme fire risk, crowds out native vegetation, consumes significant amounts of water, and limits recreation. Buckeye appreciates the leadership of Senator Tim Dunn, along with @azstateforestry and the LRGC, for leading yesterday’s tour of the Lower Gila River, and all the partners involved in the ongoing effort to reduce the impacts of salt cedar and restore this beautiful natural habitat.

Great morning at the Farm-City Breakfast.
Agriculture is a big part of Buckeye’s story, and as we grow, it’s important we stay connected to those roots.
Loved seeing our 4H youth lead their pledge—such a great reflection of our community values.
Thank you to the Farm Bureau for hosting!

Great visit to Buckeye Union High School District’s Transition from School to Work program.
It’s inspiring to see students gaining real-world skills and preparing for what’s next. Programs like this don’t happen without strong partnerships, and we’re proud to work alongside our local school districts to support students and create opportunities right here in Buckeye.
Thank you to the BUHSD team for the tour and for the important work you’re doing for our students.

Buckeye and the West Valley are among the fastest-growing areas in Arizona.
That growth means more families, more jobs, and more drivers relying on I-10 every day.
The proposed widening of I-10 from SR 85 to Citrus Road would expand capacity along a critical stretch of highway, helping improve safety and preserve reliable travel for both commuters and freight moving through the region.
Despite these growing transportation needs, Governor Hobbs removed funding for the project in her latest budget proposal.
Arizona House Republicans are continuing to push for this investment to remain a priority for the West Valley. Leaders including Majority Leader @MichaelCarbone, Speaker @SteveMontenegro, and Representatives David Livingston (@Livingston4AZ) @realnickkupper, and @BevPingerelli are working to keep this project moving forward for Arizona drivers and businesses.

The West Valley I-10 widening project is too important to delay. Let’s work together and get it done. The time is now.
@GovernorHobbs@SteveMontenegro@Votewarren
⚠️ A lane expansion between SR-85 and Citrus Rd. is already planned and funded but that funding is now at risk in the state budget.
🚨 Contact your state legislators and the Governor's Office and urge them to protect I-10 funding. We've made it easy at https://t.co/QctnzVIgIz
Last week, Mayor Eric Orsborn and Councilmember Jamaine Berry joined residents at the Buckeye Senior Center to present a proclamation recognizing February as Black History Month in Buckeye.
Black history is an important part of our shared story. Celebrating it helps us better understand the people, experiences, and contributions that continue to shape our community today.
