While I understand the humor behind this, I think the phrase is being interpreted too literally.

"Nobody is coming to save you" doesn't mean you won't have people who love you enough to help you when life falls apart. You can be fortunate enough to have family or friends who will step in when they're struggling.

The point is much deeper than that.

It means that YOU ARE ULTIMATELY RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR LIFE. No one can build your discipline for you. No one can make you exercise, eat well, develop your skills, protect your peace, heal your emotional wounds, or pursue your purpose. You can have someone who can support you, encourage you, and even rescue you from a bad situation but they cannot live your life on your behalf.

Your husband can always help you out but he can't build your character.
Your friend can lend you money but they can't teach you financial discipline.

At the end of the day, the responsibility for your choices still belongs to you.

And if we're going to interpret the phrase literally, it's worth remembering that your experience is a privilege, not a universal reality. For every person who has a friend or family ready to step in, there are countless people who truly have no one. For them, "nobody is coming to save you" isn't a motivational slogan or meme, it's simply the reality they have to live with.

The saying isn't denying the value of community. The point of the phrase is to reminding us not to build a life that depends on being rescued.

Frame 1 costs ₦850,000, while Frame 2 costs about ₦65,000 or less.

I can confidently tell you that Frame 2 smells about 95% similar to Frame 1. I’m speaking from experience because I have both of them.

So, if you don’t have ₦850,000 to spend on Frame 1, buy Frame 2 and enjoy a scent that’s almost identical for a fraction of the price.

Has anyone else tried both? Do you agree, or do you think I’m exaggerating?

I just listened to a crazy story on IG about a US-based content creator. He met a Nigerian woman in Naija, who is also a content creator. They got married, and he brought her to the US.

He already had a house in the US and had bought an apartment in Lekki, Lagos. His wife gave birth to two kids, and they later started having problems in the marriage.

The matter went to court, and the judge ruled in her favor: she kept the US house while he kept the Lagos one. He even begged her to keep the Lagos house while he stayed in his US house, but she refused.

When they got home, she told him to move out immediately. He decided he wouldn’t go down without a fight and later did a DNA test on the two kids, discovering they were not his.

He got a good lawyer, and the case turned in his favor. She begged him to forgive her, but he didn’t budge. She got deported, and as soon as she landed in Nigeria, she went to the Lekki house.

He called his family members in Lagos to throw her out and change the locks. Everyone in the comments said the brotherhood is proud of him.
