Once again, Trump says the silent part out loud: The US's attack on the ICC is not to defend Trump or American soldiers, but to defend Netanyahu and Israeli officials accused of war crimes.
Thus, the US is once again going to war with international law to defend Netanyahu and Israeli crimes, and by doing so, sacrificing the US's own global standing and its own interests for the sake of Israel.

Notice that Jonathan Greenblatt has time to quote tweet a personal attack on me the moment I criticize Israel.
But when a speaker at a conference that his own ADL sponsored said “I don’t want Muslims in America. Get the f**k out of the United States. Go back to the “sh**house where you came from”, Greenblatt said nothing. Not a word.
He’s always happy to give Islamophobes and rightwing antisemites a pass but desperate to attack and smear Muslims in public life with personal invective.
MUST READ report in the @nytimes on how David Milstein, a top aide to Ambassador Mike Huckabee, systematically skewed reporting in favor of Israel, ensured Washington would not receive problematic news from Israel, and protected Israel even as Israeli settlers killed Americans.
The reporting builds on the story @connor_echols of @QuincyInst first reported in @RStatecraft last year:

Iran Moves to Freeze Food Prices and Stabilize the Rial
🔹Iran is trying to contain rising living costs through a limited food-price freeze and direct dollar sales, as war, the U.S. naval blockade and sanctions squeeze the economy.
🔹Tehran’s “Zero Inflation” program promises fixed prices for 12 food staples for six months, with purchases allocated by household size. Other cities have expressed readiness to participate, and the government is developing a nationwide approach.
🔹The protection covers only part of the grocery bill for those in the capital. Rent, medicines, healthcare, transportation and other essential expenses remain outside the arrangement. Official figures show consumer prices 89.8% higher than a year earlier.
🔹The central bank says it has secured $2 billion for currency-market intervention, allowing individuals to purchase up to $10,000 at rates close to the market. With the dollar recently around 270,000 tomans, the maximum purchase would cost approximately 2.7 billion tomans, far beyond many households’ means.
🔹Meanwhile, a report attributed to Fars says Iranian agencies disagree over how to use a prospective $1 billion Russian loan: vehicle imports to generate customs revenue, oil-industry equipment, or essential goods. The report does not establish that the funds have arrived.
🔹These measures highlight the government’s difficult spending choices under economic pressure. Their value for families will depend on reliable supplies, wider access and relief that reaches beyond a limited food basket.

@MarkRuffalo is known to be one of the nicest guys in Hollywood - and beyond.
Takes a lot for him to call anyone a bad word.
So when he calls Jake Sullivan and Tony Blinken "war criminals" - based on his interactions with them throughout the Gaza genocide - take it seriously.
🏥 Iran has domestically developed the active ingredient for tilmanoscept, a diagnostic radiopharmaceutical used to identify cancer-involved lymph nodes.
The technology has entered clinical trials and could reduce lymphatic mapping costs to 1/10th of global prices.

Wow!
Senator @ChrisMurphyCT is denied entry to U.S. military facilities in the Persian Gulf. He wasn't even allowed to meet with military leaders!
He believes this is on the order of Pete Hegseth, who is trying to hide the damage and the cost of this war of choice with Iran.
The strategy of the hawkish pro-Israel groups to restore a US-Israel relationship that extends Washington's perpetual deference to Israel is just naked Islamophobia. The theory is simple: The more Americans are taught to hate Muslims, the more they will see an ally in Israel.
So for Israel to have America as a "friend," America must have more enemies...
This is what Yoram Hazony said at the National Conservative conference in Jerusalem:
"The more Muslim immigration and the threat of Islamification become troubling, the more that the parties of the right have tended to say Christians & Jews need to work together to deal with the challenges of Muslim immigration."

Here are Israelis casually talking about using nuclear wepons on Gaza and killing everyone there, including all of the children and babies. Israel has lost all moral bearings. They believe mass killing of innocents is necessary for their safety because they've lost their minds.
The icing on the cake when it comes to the sad collapse of German statecraft.
August Hanning, former head of the German BND, the German equivalent of the CIA, has been arrested on espionage charges.
It has never happened before that a country's top intelligence officer and head of a national spy agency proved to be a spy for another state.

Iranian Women Make History at Asian Games
🔹Iran finished the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya in sixth place with 52 medals - 19 gold, 18 silver and 15 bronze - in a notable performance as the country competes amid war, severe economic pressure and major disruptions to trade and transportation.
🔹Some of the biggest breakthroughs came from Iranian women. The 95 women in Iran’s delegation won 14 medals, including three golds, and recorded several first-ever achievements for the country.
🔹Fatemeh Mojallal became the first Iranian woman to win an Asian Games rowing gold, while Zeinab Norouzi and Kimia Zarei also took gold in the lightweight double sculls. Reyhaneh Karimi became Iran’s first female Asian Games medalist in weightlifting, and Zahra Zarei won silver in the 400 meters - the first Asian Games running medal ever won by an Iranian woman. Iran also returned to women’s artistic gymnastics after roughly half a century.
🔹The results reflect a longer transformation in Iranian sport. Women now compete internationally in a much broader range of disciplines than a generation ago, with greater access to organized leagues, national teams, international competitions and training programs. As those opportunities have expanded, Iranian women have begun reaching the Asian and world level in sports where they previously had little presence.
🔹The timing makes Iran’s overall performance particularly significant. War, sanctions, inflation and difficulties with international travel, equipment and financing would normally be expected to weaken elite sport. Yet Iran finished sixth in Asia, while its women produced some of the delegation’s most historic results.
🔹Aichi-Nagoya offered a side of Iran easily lost amid coverage of war and confrontation: a new generation of Iranian women entering areas of competitive sport that were largely inaccessible to earlier generations - and, in several cases, reaching the top of Asia.

All Iranian diplomats who attended UNGA, except one who departed earlier, left as scheduled.
Taking pride in fake diplomat "expulsion" is inappropriate for the head of any diplomatic corps. It oozes of desperation and defeat, and is inconsistent with UN host nation obligations.
