🚨The CIA just republished Declassified 1954 CIA ARTICHOKE Memo that Explored Turning Americans into Involuntary Assassins Targeting American Officials “if Necessary”

This January 22, 1954, CIA Project ARTICHOKE document is a feasibility evaluation of whether a subject could be involuntarily induced—through a single uncontrolled social encounter—to attempt the assassination of a prominent politician using ARTICHOKE techniques (drugs, hypnosis, etc.). The memo explicitly includes both foreign political officials as the primary target and American officials as a fallback option.

- Can an individual of [redacted nationality] descent (approx. 35 years old, well-educated, heavy drinker) be made to involuntarily perform an act of attempted assassination under ARTICHOKE influence?

- Primary target — A prominent [redacted] politician (i.e., a high-ranking foreign political official).

- Alternative/fallback target — Or, if necessary, an American official.

- Drugging method — Exploit the subject's heavy drinking by surreptitiously administering drugs via an alcoholic cocktail during the social encounter.

- After drugging, apply ARTICHOKE techniques (drugs/hypnosis/behavioral manipulation) to induce the subject to carry out the assassination attempt at a later time/date.
