UPDATE: A member of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM), Apollo Kibira, has taken Speaker Anita Among and her deputy Thomas Tayebwa to court, seeking to overturn the party’s decision endorsing the two as its flag bearers for the leadership of the 12th Parliament. Kibira argues that the NRM Central Executive Committee reached the decision without following a transparent internal process.
