'STORM' is a short documentary about Scott Hugo. A story of Long COVID's impact on his life and family - a reminder of what is at stake in research on Long COVID.
His resilience humbles me.

🫀🧠 My new paper in a cardiology journal: appreciate that my cardiology colleagues like my ideas and don't reject my papers because my ideas are "too new" - a comment I got from an editor of another journal on a different paper that was rejected. 🤪

@TeamPostX@atranscendedman Agreed! There is going to be condition related overlap. These are the most widely validated and standardized tools to measure anxiety and depression. It'll be key to include this context in the interpretation of the results and to understand the overlap.
@cstroeckw We are very busy with several studies! Participant recruitment is not a bottleneck. We need more stable funding to hire more staff. The clinic is also very busy and currently training an APRN. People keep asking me if the need is going away and it is definitely not, unfortunately
HIRING! We are hiring postgraduate research associates starting June 2026. Please send talented folks interested in neuropsych Long COVID & PAIS our way!

Indeed, a subset of people with post-acute infectious syndromes, including #MECFS and #LongCovid, do recover, but others don't. The heterogeneity of these complex syndromes is not rooted in one's thoughts, but in one's pathophysiology. A number of #MS patients lead a fully functional, minimally symptomatic life while many others with MS are very disabled and symptomatic. Here is the info from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention - no ME activists there. What is needed for people to get better is not psychotherapy; what is needed are effective therapies like we have for MS.

It's not too late to register and join the likes of Danny Altmann and other global experts from various fields to explore critical dimensions and pathophysiology of these debilitating conditions.

Heading to Santa Fe to attend the @KeystoneSymp#kslongcovid26 with amazing lab members and collaborators from @YaleCII. Looking forward to seeing everyone there! Safe travels to those who are coming. Will be thinking of you - who couldn’t be there 💙
This is new — @RobertKennedyJr states he “is 100% committed to finding treatments for #LongCovid.. I have a son who is really dramatically affected by LC.”
