This is Harvey Marcelin, a transgender serial killer who identifies as a lesbian and is currently in a women's prison at Riker's Island.

Harvey, who now calls himself Marceline, dismembered women after killing them, and was profiled sympathetically by The New York Times last year (2022) after his arrest - despite having just been connected to the killing and dismemberment of a woman.

“Transgender people are far more likely to become victims of violence, not perpetrators,” read the NYT, which referred to him as female, and appeared to attribute Marcelin’s history of violence against women as part of his gender identity conflict.

With two prior murder convictions, he was granted access to a shelter for women, where he was interacting with his third victim - despite objections from the staff.

One woman employed at a housing alternative for elderly residents was let go from her job after she complained that he was following her as she drove home.

I have avoided wading in on this topic because I don’t want to cause anyone harm. But, as a former professional athlete, and an attorney who focused on civil rights law, I feel the need to speak out.

One of my regulars when I waited tables was a transwoman named Bev. I liked Bev. I did my absolute best to treat Bev like a woman, not because she ever asked, but because that was the kind and compassionate thing to do.

Fast forward fifteen years and it’s different. While I’ll always do my best to be respectful, I feel far less inclined to extend gratuitous kindness to trans people.

This is sad to me. I do, despite my rough around the edges Twitter life, like human beings. No matter who they are.

But I’m not being hyperbolic when I say I feel violated by the trans movement. Not once have women been consulted on having males in our bathrooms, prisons, and sports. We’ve been railroaded despite saying no again and again. That is incredibly violating.

And as if that’s not bad enough, when we do express unquestionably reasonable concerns with allowing males into our single sex spaces, those pushing the trans agenda aggressively gaslight us into thinking we’re somehow morally rotten for doing so. It’s manipulation, psychological warfare and, again, it’s violating.

But I do believe the backlash to this movement is coming. I see it all around me and I feel it, personally. And frankly, it’s deserved.
