Whole lot of Grizzlies fans waxing poetic about an era that brought us almost 0 playoff success and now demanding that this new version better win big or it was a mistake to move on. Pure comedy. We havenβt won anything worth a damn since GNG but the dunks and dancing were cool.
@parkervb901@desm0ndbane Folks really not considering that he also just doesn't play. 3 seasons in a row he's unavailable, that's just bad business to have on your roster.
I think the Ja trade is very fair. Didn't have to give up a pick for it - Jerami Grant has a favorable contract, and Kris Murray can be traded like the rest of the randoms we have on the bench. This team isn't complete yet, so this helps us in the process.
@SainAsylum It starts and ends with health. It all sounds good on paper - but what proof do we have he can stay on the floor? Health is not a guarantee, which makes him staying even more of a risk. If health was guaranteed (never will be) then of course we want him to play in Memphis
Super concerned that the Grizzlies are building a slow it down and rebound type of team and TI coaching philosophy is a hurry and run type of team.
Those do not mix well.
@grizzzlam Can't disagree but we do have to be honest with ourselves that the future you are referring to is no less than 3 years away. That's the part that is gonna be annoying
This is a very good lineup assuming all players live up to their maximum potential (rare, unlikely) - and also is minimum 3 years away from competing with elite teams. I want to win now :'(
This is a very good lineup btw. Just saying donβt think itβll happen butβ¦
PG: Ja Morant
SG: Cedric Coward
SF: GG Jackson
PF: Cam Boozer
C: Zach Edey
So genuine question - if Ja is still on the roster for game 1 of the season, do they play him? I agree with Cole that we should trade him at a loss, but if he stays, surely you have to play him. I definitely don't think he should just ride the pine until further notice
I might be the only one with this thought process but I really dgaf if we donβt trade Ja lol
Even if itβs irreconcilable it doesnβt make sense to trade for a loss when we need cap on the books anyways
A nice staycation until heβs traded, they get along, or his contract expires
While the Grizzlies weigh trade offers for Ja Morant and the decision at No. 3, Iβve also heard several teams have expressed interest in trading for Euroleague star Tarik Biberovic, whose draft rights are held by the Grizzlies. Biberovic, 25, shot 44% from distance for Fenerbahce over the past three seasons and led them to the 2025 Euroleague title.
The Spurs did a lot of dumbass things to lose that game
1. Why is Wemby playin 44 minutes when you're dominating the game like that?
2. Why was Castle in the game late in the 2nd quarter up 25+ with 2 fouls?
3. Why is Keldon Johnson ever on the court?
4. Why would Fox take that layup?
5. Why would Fox foul Alvarado with 5 seconds left instead of saving your foul to give until after the timeout?
6. Why are you in the penalty for the last EIGHT minutes of the basketball game and not telling your players to attack the rim?
7. WHY IS DYLAN HARPER NOT GETTING THE BALL DOWN THE STRETCH?
8. Again, why is Keldon Johnson ever seeing the court?
