🚨🗣️ Zlatan Ibrahimović on Kylian Mbappé’s Ballon d'Or claims:
"He says no player had a better season? I laugh.
He talks like a king while the paper is empty. He won nothing. Meanwhile, Harry Kane doesn't talk, he puts up numbers, carries his team, and delivers trophies."
The fact Tottenham have genuinely at this point not openly called out PGMOL about the way we have been officiated for the last 2 years is a fucking joke.
We are literally being refereed to differently to the rest of the league.
🚨 Roy Keane on Gakpo not being awarded a penalty against Ipswich:
🗣️ Keane: “I must’ve missed something during the week because I was told last weekend that this was a penalty.
When Alisson made contact with Williams after he’d already taken his shot, I said it wasn’t a penalty. The argument afterwards was, ‘It doesn’t matter that the ball is gone. There’s still contact.’
Fine. I disagreed with it, but at least that’s the explanation.
Now look at Gakpo. He releases the pass, though it gets intercepted, but the defender comes across and takes him out. The attacking move is already gone. Then there’s contact.
So where’s the penalty?
Whether Gakpo’s pass was intercepted doesn’t matter. Williams had already wasted his chance last week as well. If contact after the attacking action was enough to punish Alisson, why isn’t it enough here?
That’s what drives players and managers mad. I don’t even need them to agree with me anymore. Just agree with themselves.
Last week I said Williams had already completed what he wanted to do and people told me I was wrong.
Okay. Then give Liverpool the penalty today.
You can’t have both.”
Pablo Torre on the NBA’s Clippers report:
“The sensation that I have felt personally is that people have been almost delighted that maybe we can hold the richest people in the world to something resembling a standard of accountability.”

Accountability for the wealthiest people on Earth is hard to come by.
Thank you for believing in the power of independent journalism to accomplish it.
(And, yes, more to come.)

🚨Anthony Gordon on the difference between playing in La Liga and the premier league following Barcelona win over Rayo Vallecano.
🗣️ “I’m not going to sit here and pretend the Premier League isn’t intense — it is. It’s basketball with a football. Relentless running, duels everywhere, long throws, corners, referees letting you kick lumps out of each other. That’s why a lot of English lads think it’s the best league in the world. They’re used to chaos.
Here it’s different. Rayo sat in and tried to make it ugly, the way a lot of mid-table Premier League sides do. Difference is we didn’t just launch it or wait for a set-piece. We moved them, Pedri found the pockets, Lamine and the boys created the overloads, and we broke them down with actual football. That’s the part a lot of people back home don’t want to hear.
In England you can hide behind intensity. You can have a bad touch and still win the next duel because the ref won’t blow. Here if your first touch is sloppy or your positioning is lazy, you’re exposed. The spaces are tighter, the decisions have to be quicker and cleaner. My pace works even better because the movement around me actually creates the space instead of everyone just sprinting in straight lines.
I loved the Premier League, it made me. But this is a different level of football intelligence. Some of those teams in England would get cooked trying to play this way every week. They wouldn’t have the patience or the quality in midfield. That’s not a dig — it’s just what I’ve seen in three games. Proper football still lives here.”
